Today is Halloween 2008, a big festival this year. It's a special Halloween in the meantime, because we are facing serious global economic crisis.

But don't feel sad about that, happiness is the theme of this Halloween. So I believe you guys must have some wonderful plans and activities, don't you?

So one question I wanna ask is, what are you doing to celebrate Halloween 2008? For me, I invite some of my friends to have dinner together. So what about you?

We're going to visit our dearly departed. In my country, it is a bittersweet occasion. Halloween is an event for family gatherings to catch up with the latest on each other's lives.

Home alone in a 1,000-year-old village on a stormy night, with flickering electricity supply and a crashing thunderstorm going on outside.

Sure - it's going to be the kind of night that inspired Mary Shelley's Frankenstein...

Friends and family will meet up at my parents house...the chicks will hand out candy and drink margaritas...and the dudes will go with the kiddos for trick or treating.

I'm heading back to where I actually live (in a different place 63 miles away while my house is being repaired from hurricane Ike damage) to spent the weekend with friends. Getting dressed up tonight and going out to party with more friends... probably consume a few "adult beverages".

Eating samp & beans and watching TV...maybe doing a little sewing.

    Halloween is a no-starter here.

I'm going out with some girlfriends to the Body Lounge in Manhattan. I'm going as a Geisha of the future or possibly a Goodfella...I've always wanted to be a Goodfella and it's a simple ensamble.

Just make sure you steer clear of any refrigerated trucks, or short guys with hair-trigger tempers who ask you if he looks like a clown to you.
    2. lotusb
      OMG!!! I def will. Lol.

I'm not positive yet, plans with friends are up in the air.

I'd really like to go to the "Great Pumpkin House" but I live too far away.

I am SOOOOO hoping we get kids this year...cripes...even just one! Please, PLEASE let us get some trick or treaters!
(As a side activity, as we probably won't get any, I'm also preparing for a major local art event I'm participating in tomorrow; www.slidell.la.us/artsevening/ )

We didn't even have one trick or treater, if anyone was wondering. Even after hubby had a walk around the neighborhood to tell people.

Bathe and anoint with an Isis oil. Then I cast my circle and send time praying, dreaming, and making love. Nothing better.
