Not sure if someone has already posted this or not. I don't usually make any. I don't smoke and I know that is usually one of the big ones for many smokers, I don't drink that often, I am in the gym about 4 days a week, can't use that one.

I think overall, I just want to make sure I am nice to everyone and really go out of my way if they need anything. I want to bring out the best of me even if I'm having a bad day.

Anyone want to share?

Thanks, it's so easy to get caught in the 'health food' trap and be a paranoid about not eating well.

My new year resolution is that I'm going to think positively(how easy is that!). I've also posted about this
    joel-robinson.blogspot.com/2008/01/new-year-resolution.html

Loosing weight is also on the agenda, but a more important resolution is the one posted

No such thing as Dreaming, anything is possible. Just work towards it and make it all happen. (Except for rushing the wedding date if you don't already have a fiance)

If Anybody is interested in blogging at Battling Obesity about your getting-back-to-shape routines, meal choices, and other related stuff .. (like weekly weigh-ins) ... let me know! It would be as a guest author (N/C) but you could link back to your own blogs, and keep the dieting stuff off of your niche blogs ..

(just figured .. it never hurts to ask)

My resolution for my blog this year are:

    - Bring the number of daily posts to five
    - Bring up the RSS subscribers count to at least 5000 before the end of the year
    - Improve the blog ranking for several strategic keywords in Google's SERP.
    - Increase the posting frequency of gadgets / software / hardware reviews
    - ...and that's enough for now

    1. PetLvr
you have 3229 subscribers now .. 5000 should be attainable Good luck!

I just want my children to stay happy and healthy so whatever I can do to help that will be good enough for me.
    1. acousticguitarist
do you have any other goals, sing like Mary Black?
    2. clairec23
No, I don't really want to sing like Mary Black, at least not this year...

I can't sing at all though, I'd like my resolutions to be a wee bit realistic.
    3. acousticguitarist
just teasing, but everyone can sing

I meet so many woman where I work teaching computers, who have focused on their children as fantastic dedicated mums, but what I find is that in that wonderful obligation that they have taken on, they have forgotten about themselves. And most of them go thru a very challenging period of readapting and finding themselves again and working out what it is that they want. I see it year after year, and it's fascinating watching them rebuild their lives and self worth. But maybe a lot of women leave it too long and don't start the reshaping early enough. If I hadn't seen it so ofte, I wouldn't have mentioned it; and your comment really stood out.

Nowt wrong with Ms. Black! Um, not everyone can sing, I'm proof of that, trust me!

It's true, we do lose sight of ourselves. I'm "Mammy" so much that I forget what it's like to be "Claire." I think maybe that's why I blog, to keep a little bit of myself alive I do try to keep my own dreams (for want of a better word) alive but it's sort of like once I had children, it felt like that was my purpose in life, to help them reach adulthood and have their own lives. I'll be a sad, lonely 'oul one when they grow up at this rate!
    5. acousticguitarist
Well there's always the saxophone :-)

i've never a met aperson in my life that didn't want to sing
    6. clairec23
I used to play the clarinet

I do want to sing, I wouldn't want to be a singer but it would be nice to be able to sing a couple of songs moderately well. But I can't. I'm completely crap at it.
    7. acousticguitarist
a lot of people I know joined choirs doing african, world music and gospel stuff, I don't know if that happens where you are.

Usually some are better than others, there'll be the prima donnas, the control freaks, the left of centres..quite a mix and it's a great social event.

I used to run small groups in teaching non singers how to sing, how to get over the hurdles, to keep time, find a song that suits their voice, all that stuff...very therapeutic. I don't do it any more but we had great results.
    8. clairec23
I've never heard of anything like that before but it sounds like fun. Anything that takes the stress out of sounding like a crow can't be bad
