Memorial Day Weekend is here(for those that are in the US). Some say the unofficial start of summer.

But with a few more weeks until the official start of summer, what are some of the plans you have for it?

As for me, I will be spending a few weeks in Florida with my daughter. We plan on seeing most if not all of the attractions.

Are you going anywhere?

It's heaven where I live in the summer. Lakes, creeks, hills, woods, gorges, waterfalls, wildflowers everywhere. So I'll just stay here and walk around.

Whine and complain about how hot it is and how I can't wait until it snows.

New York has many wonderful parks and I spend a lot of time at them. Havana Falls, Irondequoit, Buttermilk Park, Letchworth, Connetquot River to name a few. I love small town parades and festivals, the hot air balloons, the fairs, Red Wings baseball, pretty much everything in NY that you can get out and do.
On rainy days there's Cooperstown, Corning, the museums. We're also signed up for a couple cemetary tours, wine tours, nature bird walks, and one train trip this Fall. There's a reason I live in NY, I love this state, especially in the summer.

Hope you have a good time in Florida. I live at the south end of Minnesota's lake country, so we're already "there." Not that the family is big on conventional vacations.

I do go down and look at Sauk Lake from time to time, though.
