Just three questions............

How much web traffic do you expect to see on any given day?

How long was it before you started to see regular traffic to your new blog.

Are you content with the current flow of traffic to your blog?

I'm not a blog guru or anything I'm just trying to see if my expectations are unrealistic.

I started with about 25 a day. In a few months is was up to 100. It has been since February and my record high was 336 UPV. My average now is about 250 per day. Those are unique visitors not pageviews. Those are in the 600s per day.

And same as you Lolita, I definitely get quite a bit of traffic from BC.

i have none. I don't know when people started coming to my blog but i have a feeling BC has something to do with it. I am content since most of my posts have at least one comment. But then again I am blogging for different reasons than most.

Question: How much web traffic do you expect to see on any given day?
Answer: I don't wish to share that with you as our blogs aren't related and mine have been around for a longer period of time. Posting the number would not be useful to you and would me me sound like a braggart.

Question: How long was it before you started to see regular traffic to your new blog.

Answer: It's been a couple of years since I began a new blog so my memories are vague when it comes to numbers. I began it first on a wordpress. com subdomain and received traffic immediately from the wordpress. com global tag pages as I had properly tagged my posts. Within the week I began to get traffic from search engines. After a strong flow of organic traffic was in evidence I purchased a domain and domain mapping so the links would not be broken and the PageRank would not be affected.

Question: Are you content with the current flow of traffic to your blog?

Answer: I'm always seeking more targeted readers and I don't expect that to ever change.

When it comes to ensuring that you have taken all the steps required to establish a targeted orgnic (unpaid) traffic flow to a new blog I think I can help. When you have a new blog it may take up to 6 months before it's indexed. The first thing to be sure of is that you have registered with search engines, secured a Google webmasters account, generated a site map and submitted it. If you read this reference post in the BC New Users Group you will find instructions.

When it comes to promoting a new blog in any social media site it's of crucial importance for bloggers to understand that their profile page is the number one advertising spot. Therefore, ensuring that you have developed a Personal Profile that identifies your expertise in a niche is important to any viewers of that page.
