   Honestly, I live the Nikon D40 I have now. Just that buying lenses are such a pain. I wouldn't mind the D500...

   I'm a big fan of the Panasonic Lumix series of point-and-click cameras. There's no noise when shooting in low light. It also captures great detail. I shot some pictures of some chips I was soldering onto my laptop that had pins too small for the normal eye to visualize. I was able to zoom in with great detail on my pc. It was awesome.

   For now, I'd settle for a high-quality compact camera.
   
   I'd like to have a DSLR, but a big, expensive camera is not the best thing to be walking around with. At least here, it's not.
   
   Perhaps I'll get one of those Micro 4/3 cameras when I can afford it.

   I am not into cutie cameras so I prefer DSLR cameras. Better imaging quality compared to those small ones.

    I prefer the SLR cameras. Unless I'm going to a party or something and want to be able to take snapshots of friends but for any actual photography I prefer the SLR.
