What color are your bedroom walls? Just curious- Are they still white? A bold red? A tranquil blue? Sunny yellow? And do you like the color or are you looking to change it?

It's very funny that you asked this question right now, while I was online ordering curtains for my bedroom...after nearly two years in my current home. I had to look to be sure I was answering your question correctly, though I guessed the walls were white and that turned out to be true. Somehow I doubt that I'll be bothering to paint them...it took me more than a year and a half just to notice what color they were!

Is your color scheme white or do you use other colors in your bedding and curtains? If so what colors are you pairing with your neutral walls?
    2. MadameX
Pairing? Oh, no, no. There's nothing like that going on around here. I would just never have thought to think about the color of my walls. My bedding is forest green and beige, left over from the last place I lived. I just got around to ordering curtains (to match the bedding) after a year and a half in this place.

sandstone ... painted first with a txturizing paint ... then a sandstone colour paint over the top (and the paint has granules in it to make it look even more sandstone-y) ... trim is a red "sandstone"

The sandstone sounds beautiful and paired with the red it must be very cozy.

Thank you for the great photo! What an enchanting room. Isn't it amazing how yellow can tie into almost any color scheme. You have done a wonderful job pulling it all together. Some many interesting things to look at!

I forgot to mention by bedroom walls are a pale yellow. I have been thinking about faux finishing them to look like parchment.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
      That would probably be lovely.

I have three walls covered in velvet leopard skin wall paper and the other is covered by a huge mural of me pleasuring famous women from history, while the ceiling is fully mirrored, so the ladies can admire my taut buttocks.

I keep my walls white so that they frame my huge paintings properly. I remember my tour in Beijing - when I bought a few sheets of handmade paper and some brush and color - the paintings ( water color - wash) came out great and now they hang on the walls of my bedroom - i sleep late - very late and wake up early. My living room is very light golden yellow with highlights in light lemon green - and this is the place i stay mostly when i am not in my office

boring white, because I live in an apartment complex. Good thing I'm an artist and I know how to cover my walls

Yes sometimes white walls are the best backdrop for artwork

its a eggshell color a little lighter than the antique old lady furniture to match.

I think the furniture is as old as I am, but well kept in some old lady's house.. it was a gift

    Various shades of green.

    Hi all,
My bedroom has the darker shade of dust, set off with several symmetrical webs standing out unusually well from each of the four corners, and some subtly placed plaster cracks to create an antique look and a darkish yellow ceiling which I believe the correct name of this color to be called 'nicotine'.

For the more serious among us it's plain old cream.

my bedroom, when we bought this house 3 1/2 years ago, was pink and white striped wall paper, pink carpet and pink crown molding...it hasn't been changed...yet. hopefully, in the next couple of years, we'll get around to it!

Tea - yip Resene Tea. It's a great warm grey for our very sunny house. All the walls are painted in shades of Tea - except the large bathroom which is painted Chocolate Brown and Lime Green. Haven't finished painting the bedroom - but we plan to add a deep blue on one wall - contrast wonderfully with the Tea! We have crimson behind the fireplace.

My current bedroom is a boring white with chocolate brown for the baseboard. I am moving in 2 weeks, though, and the color will be a very faint blue - we had it mixed ourselves.

Very white walls...rough Spanish plaster with very white paint. The house is Mediterranean in style. Oiled oak floors with small silk oriental rugs. Bob Timberlake cherry furniture, heavy scale with wrought iron accents. Quilts on the bed and a huge square mosquito net that, this time of year, is a gauzy canopy. Yellow and blue accents, including quite a bit of blue and white porcelain.

    black trim, slate blue walls

wait does the trim even count?
  29. Anabanana
Powder blue - well, actually it depends. When I'm inebriated, it looks white with the slightest tinge of lavender. I kid not.
  30. TragicComedy
    milk chocolate
  31. LGramlich
White w/a floral pattern. Not really looking to change it--we don't spend much time in there. More of a "functional" room than anything.
  32. Theresa111
The walls are painted a medium orchid which goes with one of my paintings.
  33. lulubelleb
    soothing pale blue
