    4. Epicharis
Actually the Irish wear kilts too. The Scots are an Irish tribe that migrated to Scotland, which is why they share so many traditions.

      lol I wouldn't be surprised.

I would desperately love to go and visit Ireland, I think it would be beneficial to me to have a chance to put my feet on the land mass my family originated from...

The best bed and breakfast I ever stayed in, one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen (the yellow light reflected off the wet cobblestones and looked just like melted butter), and a train ride to some rocky cliffs on the coast.

The Chieftains! One of my favourite bands...

I have a lot of Irish things in my life, (grandparents are Irish) but that's the first that comes to mind.
  17. nursarahlam
I would have thought of celtic
    1. Epicharis
It's interesting that we use the word 'celtic' to describe all things Irish...when the Celts had nothing to do with Ireland! The modern descendants of the Celts are the French! But I imagine it might dent the Irish tourist trade a bit if they had to rename all their products! The Irish are actually much descended from the Vikings! That's where the red hair comes from, and Dublin was founded by the Vikings.

  34. sophielc
Lucky charms? I've been living in Ireland for 15 years and I've never seen a pack of lucky charms, except in American movies.

Wake up people, I'll tell you what ireland is: wet and windy weather, drunks overcrowding the hospital emrgency departments at week-ends, a country run by pig-headed monkeys (who actually look like fat pigs). I'd put a photo of Brian Cowen, our Taoiseacht (Prime Minister) here if I wasn't afraid of breaking some copyright law. Look him up and you'll see what I'm talking about.
A country that didn't bother improving its infrastructures with the economic growth of the past 20 years.

Oh! How I wish this country was run by leprechauns! They would probably do a better job at it too (Hell! Even I would!)
