I love doing crafts and I am trying to think of something to make this year for Christmas.
What is popular here in Holland may not be where you are and visa versa.
I have surfed the net for days and can not find anything.
Christmas arrangements, flowers, candles, napkin rings, seen it done it, it is old...
Please give me some ideas I am going nuts here and my craft room is screaming my name!

I too love doing crafts and especially using recycled materials. I do realize though that some people do not like working with plastic bags as yarn so I have been working on other projects to attract interest in my crafting site. Here is my latest crochet project using a decorative towel to create a nice Christmas gift for a friend of mine.

If you like this project, here is the free pattern link:

I live in an artist's colony so all crafts and all arts are popular here.
They are what we love to do and they are what we do to make a living.
Small things that sell well at this time of the year are homemade Christmas ornaments and wreaths.
Here are some ideas craft ideas that also incorporate recycling www.allfreecrafts.com/christmas/index.shtml and www.craftown.com/xmas.htm

christmasy ones look good and I was quite surprised that it wasn't too difficult

Those are really cool. They would sell here for sure and any of my friends would be happy to receive one as a gift.

FWIW I'm into aromatherapy and making my own massage oil mixes, bubblebath, potions and lotions. My friends like receiving these small Solstice gifts from me. I also give knitted hats and scarves to my friends too.

I would have to say knitting, it seems like all of my friends who do fashion are obsessed with it and it's practical in the winter time.

Have you ever tried making a wreath? It's really easy, and the best part is you can add anything you like to make it personal. They're great to give away and nothing says holiday like a Christmas wreath. It's not too time consuming either. I've only made one wreath in my life, but I think I will start making more this year. I'm sure you can get a ton of wreath making ideas on the internet.
