What things did you buy on Black Friday?
Tell us what items on sale did you buy. Great deals you got. And the best stuff you bought.

Did you guys hear about the man who was trampled to death? He was a Wal-Mart employee who was trying to calm down the crowds and he was trampled...and people even pushed passed the paramedics who were trying to revive him!

Nothing. For the past 10 years I have bought everything either online or through local artists.
I dislike malls - you'll never find me there. I dislike Walmart - until our trade deficit evens up with China, you won't find me there either. I dislike shopping center parking lots - never can find a spot within reasonable walking distance and can't remember where I parked my damn truck either. I dislike rude shoppers - aaarrrggghhh! I dislike, even more, rude retail clerks - double aaarrrggghhh!
Thanks for allowing my rant! I feel much better now. -

Well, we actually ate fast food last Friday, so a couple of burgers and some fries. Otherwise, not a blessed thing. I don't do holiday shopping in stores after T-giving. I did, however, buy a pile of present for my family on-line on Saturday. Between deal codes and other things I've accrued over the past several months, I saved almost $100, not including sale prices, and got free shipping on all but one item. Why would I go to the mall?!

N-O-T-H-I-N-G. And the Wal-mart trampling has just about finished me for the commercial side of Christmas. If I didn't have kids, I wouldn't buy anything for anyone, nor would I expect or want anything from anyone. As it is, we do a very modest holiday with two or three gifts for the kids and that's it. $200 tops. We make a matching contribution to Oxfam, the local food bank, and the local animal shelter. I told my sons about the trampling, and they're almost ready to be done with the commercialism, too. They're such mini-me's

I bought a bus pass. $45 for 30 days...a buck-fifty a day for unlimited transportation in Orange County. Is that a deal or what?

I bought my own self-respect back by not taking part in the rat race this year. I really could have used a new tv though....
