help help....

ok, I am in a terrible mood today due to plans being messed up and the way someone is acting about it. I told the person how I felt - and have made my own plans now ...

my problem is I am still SO mad (and disappointed). Like my heart is still racing and I just want to scream.

what do you do when you are mad to calm yourself OR make feelings subside?

I want to get out of this funk so i do not ruin my own night.

well that is an option for tonight .... however I want to learn maybe something new for the future that is GOOD for me
    3. bladeaxe4
itz more like u are trying to forget rather than facing it and making something more new and better out of the whole thing !
    4. lotusb
Well the only way to get over it is to let the person know that it bugged u. It's called closure. You don't have to be a d-bag about it, but let them know that they could've ruined you night and that you hope they avoid being flaky in the future. You'll feel better.

go ,run around - like choose a circular pattern (long and big one) or choose stairs (go up and down)... make urself sweat ! do it for almost 15-20 minutes... and then sit down to ask urself how much mad you are then ! try out ! i have better ways than this,,... but this one is specially for you.. okay !
    1. erinelizabeth
I will try that the minute I get home from work!!

    I take remedial action.
    1. bladeaxe4
madness is a sweet expression - whatever maybe the reason causing it.. im talking of the overview at it as the one having will most probably not notice it... i dont really seek remedial actions for myself and not even for people around me getting mad !
    2. SweetViolet
I have no idea what you are talking about.
    3. bladeaxe4
not all madness can be categorized in one type... variety has always remained the very feature of problems...
    4. SweetViolet
      Who said anything about madness?

To take remedial action is to take action to remedy the problem.

When I got mad at a former tenant for skipping out owing two months rent and damaging the property and killing the garden with neglect, I took her to court and won. I am now in the process of having her BMW seized and sold at auction to pay the debt.

When I was faced with a cheating husband, I divorced him got good alimony. That made HIM mad, but I stopped being mad just as soon as the judge agreed with me.

When something makes me mad, I address it directly by taking an action that fixes the problem, one way or another.

I bitch and moan pretty severely and unreasonably for about 20 seconds. Then I forget it.

    2. calais50
I think my anger is very mild. It is sudden, but goes away quickly. I can't stay mad at anyone.
    3. bladeaxe4
madness sometimes or say most of the times will change its direction from outside to inside... so in that way,,, u never stay mad at others that much !
  4. bladeaxe4

no - that's still a go for saturday. The costume party tonight ... I am just disappointed ALL the time now. I love to make plans in advance ... but when they change (especially when I have been working on getting ready for weeks) I get SOOOOOOO upset.
    3. erinelizabeth

    Think of your happy place.
    1. erinelizabeth
see that's what sucks .... my happy place is "when things go as planned"

I have so much to be happy about .... that's why i want to be able to control my feelings.
  7. bladeaxe4
were u candid and sarcastic in your speech today ?
  8. crpitt
I normally write something down, doodle something or say bad words, very bad words, then let it go

Screaming can help and kicking something (not a cat).
    1. erinelizabeth
I just wrote (well scribbled very madly) how i felt and that helped a little.
  9. aningeniousname
I stroke fluffy kittens and think about lovely rainbows.

Understand that the universe has no obligation to us for fairness or to make us happy. Just "understand" and accept it.

Here are some other things you can do when you start to feel mad:

*talk to a friend you can trust
    *count to 10
    *get or give a hug
*do jumping jacks or another exercise
*draw a picture of your madness
    *play a video game
*run around the outside of the house five times as fast as you can
    *sing along with the stereo
    *pull weeds in the garden
*think good thoughts (maybe about a fun vacation or your favorite sport)
*take a bike ride, go skateboarding, play basketball - do something active!
    1. aningeniousname
      You're my hero.
    2. bladeaxe4
what shud i say next ! BC's a special place making me genuine in my efforts for making just anybody's day go special ! so sometimes it might happen and sometimes not... giving a GO than to hang around and commenting nothing are two different phases . eh
    3. COOLINGSTAR9
      Good points.

I actually think choking someone or locking them in a closet would be good.
    1. bladeaxe4
all you have here with you at your place is all in a mix of everything... from the very important aspects of your life to the most negligible aspects which in themselves play around a big part of how u feel and how u deal... so choose not to play game with them unless u knw what happens - how, when and why in you... and recommended is to be a spectator to the events ~ see, experience and choose to act in your life from very core of yours , counting every single step of yours to be precisely directed by you.

Get a punching bag. Physical violence always makes you put things in perspective. Then, if the planned altercation with the over-stuffed hanging bag doesn't work. I will proceed to cuss out said person, but only using completely orginal name calling. Like: Cum Ball, Jerkwit, and Douche Puddle.

The way I see it... is if someone makes me angry... then they are controlling me and/or the situation...with their actions, words...whatever.
My staying mad only gives them more control. I just can't have that!
    1. erinelizabeth
I think that's one of the main reasons I want to get over this. He will go on wiht his plans and not have an regard for me .... as I will sit mad all night.
    2. Arcticulates
Just chalk it up as experience.

The best thing to do is shake it off and go ahead with your plans, what's done is done... start dwelling on what could be even better now and have a great time! That in itself is the best revenge there is.

I say go meet your boyfriend at the strip joint.

    ;-)

It is a normal emotion, your only problem now is how to dispel/discharge your anger in a manner acceptable and healthy for yourself. Learn to control your anger. Transforming it won't do you any good. Keep meaning to understand the reason for the immediate change in the plans. The earlier you come to terms with your feelings, the better.

i sit aside alone and think for sometime, that how i can remove this madness but it doesn't works much. so i play guitar and sing songs loud. i laugh on the situation and i also cry sometimes cause they both remove tension and takes mind on a different way. .
madness comes on me once in year or in month.
it is toggling situation and take me to stable state

Take a Deep Breathe, A bath, And listen to some songs from COLDPLAY (Everything's not lost, Strawberry Swing etc...). Did you hear that? I said COLDPLAY. I'm sure you'll be relaxed

First I go really silent. I am silent anyway, so if I go silent, I'm dead silent. If I tell anyone I'm really angry right now, I probably giggle. Then I write a blog entry with some heated words in it, like I did yesterday. Or if it's about a person I can't blog about, then I find an unsuspecting friend to vent out to. Then I continue being silent, until I've calmed down enough to think straight again. I think it could be said "I ride it through." To be honest, anger is one of my favourite emotions, but I don't get angry that often.
  30. Duilen
I used to play golf but now I don't really have an angry hobbie.

I clean. I get into the Zen of cleaning. If my environment is in order, so is my peace of mind. By the time I'm finished, usually, I have resolved the issue and forgotten about it. Over. Done with. Gone. Don't give power to those people or things that caused your anger by dwelling on it.
  32. arilestariono
Take a deep breath and cool down
  33. inform4free
I shrug and think oh well their loss, now what shall I do...hmmmmm (mischievous grin)
  34. COOLINGSTAR9
    I Still remain cool.
Through observation, I see some people mad, they become crazy and behave in the following ways.
    Crazy
    C-cry.
    R-roll over the floor.
    A-ask this, ask that.
Z-Behave like animals like lion, tiger in the zoo.
    Y-yell to people.

Go to nearby DVD shop, buy your favorite comedy or one you wished to watch for the long time and watch, watch, watch!
  36. braincatcher
When I'm mad, I listen to hate music (a lot of screaming) in full volume possible and I let them do the screaming for me. try this and you'll feel better.
Same thing applies when I'm sad, listening to saddest songs (www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/worlds-saddest-songs), until I realize that there are sadder people out there.

I meditate and do the prayers...
