mtyler77~ yeah..cry will be the 1st option for ladies including me. ihhhii. But ur habit of eating chocolate when u r sad is very good coz according to a reasearch, chocolate can help to release calming hormone in the bodyy and help u to recover fast from mental depression. Work out is also excellent, but to see better outcomes, have partner when u do it.

anything I can to distract myself, listen to music, watch a funny movie, play with the dog, create (sew, knit, paint, photograph something), talk to friends, wander around a craft store

I veg out, read a good book, get lost in a movie, or just...sleep. -
I curl up in a ball on the floor and sob uncontrollably. Then I eat some pretzels and after that, I'm fine.

I usually sleep, because being sad is tiring. I used to escape the sadness now I examine all my feelings surrounding my sadness. To feel better after I take positive action.

lordiwanttobewhole~ well, maybe, most of us do not realise, but there;s a research shows that our brain still cling to the sadness or problems we have although we are in sleeping mode. Because our eyes might be closed( rest), but brain, will just continue working untill the end of our lives. so the best way is that, try to cure the sadness 1st before taking the option of sleping straight away.

I sing. And everyone listens. Or I get speaking into one my foreign languages so no one knows I am swearing.. Oh! that i do when I am angry, not sad.

Cry and cry and cry and cry! It seem slike today there are so many things ot be so sad about. I always feel better when one of my girls tells me they love me. Going outside is also another way to deal with sadness. Nature is incredible and tends to "put me in my place" so to speak.

its strange,but whenevr i am sad i sing...lol...and whenevr i am worried...tensed..i sing as well.....funny but true..

I shout at sky "why you (God) created this kind of human beings on this earth. what you actually want from us, why you are troubling the innocent people".
I don't get reply , How can I get no way . I Say to my self " O you idiot you are the only responsible for the grief or sadness in your life.
Then after 10 or 15 minutes i come out of my house and go for one or two mile walking.

You should start a creative journal. This means that as well as writing your feelings down you also draw/ paint stick stuff on paper. Just do it and you will be surprised. There are many sites on creative journaling.If that fails I usually eat chocolate!!!!Or dance or play music or strum my guitar or go for a walk.
