I now work in a customer service call center environment.

What are some of the things that you hate to heAR?

What is good customer service to you?

What is a good greeting?

I hate that too. Being constantly put on hold and transferred is crazy

And then ending up with someone who doesn't even speak your language...that drives me over the top.

Yup that is one of the things I hate the most.

I'm really sorry but we can't help you - even though you KNOW that they are supposed to be able to help you - your warranty is still good and it's the fault of the item... or a mess up on their side.

"Maam, I know you are calling about such and such, but for $20 extra a month you can get "blank". No thank you? Well how about this instead....." Ugh!

"Your call will be answered in the order in which it was received."

If you have that many complaints, you are in the wrong line of work.

I hate the interactive voice response systems with a passion.

"Just say what you want to do. Say 'help' for customer service."
    "Help."
"I'm sorry, I didn't get that. Just say what you want to do. Say 'help' for customer service."
    "HELP!"
"I'm sorry, I didn't get that. Just say what you want to do. Say 'help' for customer service."
    "HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!"
"Do you want to talk to customer service? Just say 'yes' to confirm your option."
    "Yes."
"I'm sorry, I didn't get that. Do you want to talk to customer service? Just say 'yes' to confirm your option."
    "AAARRRGH!!!"

I never thought I'd ever be nostalgic about pressing the numbers on my touch-tone phone I feel VERY sorry for the reps who get to deal with clients after they've finally navigated through that kind of maze.

    they make you hold.
    Asks many unwanted questions.
And finally does not solve the problem.
