I have started looking into this whole Alexa Page rank and see that its important. But I still don't understand why. What are you thoughts about the Alexa Page ranking system, and what are you doing to increase your rank?

Alexa measures traffic and links to your blog. In order to demonstrate an increase in rank your site must demonstrate an increase in traffic and links.

- Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.
BTW Google is your friend. If you type "increase Alexa rank" into Google search you will find an abundance of articles on how to increase your blog's Alexa Rank. -

Alexa is a great web tool for both bloggers and advertisers. It bases a lot of the rankings off of your traffic and the sites that link into your site. A lot of people do use it as a bench mark as to how much advertising should cost on their site but I think some people get too carried away with it.
For advertisers, the related links for any site is great. You can find on site you like and then get 10 more that are very similar.
As for increasing my own ranking, at the moment I'm really not working on it cause I'm redoing my main blog.
