Do you like to hear a playlist on a blog or does it annoy you?

I have my playlist on my blog for me. If others tune in, then that's cool. Mine is not on auto start. I don't like going to a blog and having their music automatically start because most likely I won't like it and more importantly I'm already listening to my playlist.

I detest being blasted with auto-play music. I prefer to select my own music and to have the option of clicking and listening to suggested music or not. I frequently put my lastfm playlist in a widget on my personal blog. Unlike auto-play music, it gives readers the option to click through or not. -
I guess it depends on your audience. If your younger and more hip then your music preference is probably a little more edgy and so might your audience be. If your older or a little more reserved, you'd probably prefer not to be "bothered" by other people's music. I think if you stop by to read someone's blog, their personal opinions and thoughts, then you should be open minded enought to want to hear what music moves them to think.

lol ...
In blogging, thank goodness, content is king and there are no shoulds, only coulds.
I'm fairly open-minded when it comes to textual content. In the case of music, provided it's not auto-play, I could choose to click on what's offered or not. If a blog has auto-play music then I assess whether or not the content is interesting enough to take the time to read. If it is, then I can and do shut my speakers off. If it isn't, I click out of the blog never to return again. -

*lol*
Trust me when I say that if I click into a blog that's autoplaying the kind of cacophony that features expletives throughout the lyrics and possesses no musical attributes whatsoever (eg. no melody or harmony) AKA ghetto music - I'm history. Likewise, if I click into a blog that's featuring content that amounts to nothing more than slanderous ranting and raging punctuated with expletives then again, I'm history. I could care less what those "youthful" bloggers have to say or what noise they think I should be open-minded towards - IMO trash is trash.

I'm firmly in the camp of "music lovers" but I hate the autoplay lists. Usually I have my own music playing, and even if I don't, I'd rather not have unknown songs popping out of my speakers unannounced when my kids may be in the room. When visiting a music blog, I'll look for a playlist and probably check out some of the songs, but I want to choose to what I listen and when.

Yup, I have one, and definately not autoplay.
As hard as it is to believe, some people don't like "Stairway to Heaven."

Nah... changed my mind. I'm not going to change it. My music is mostly pretty mellow and it reflects the moods of my latest posts generally. Not my fault if people browse with their speakers up full blast, lol. J/k. I totally would agree about the really harsh out there type of stuff. If I have anything like that on mine, it's towards the bottom of the list. And it's just as easy to turn it off as it is to turn it on. S'all good.
