What does blogging do for you?

Is blogging a sense to express your emotions? Is it a way to meet new people? Is it your job or a source of income? Is it a way to help others looking for information?

I'm just curious as to why so many blog since I'm still fairly new to blogging, I'm realizing I'm enjoying it and do it now for the sake of getting information out to others who served in the U.S. Military.

Yet so many blog for different reasons. Do tell.

For me, it's a fun hobby, and a way to share information with others. I hope to help some people to save money, and make their lives better in the process. Making a few extra dollars with it is just a welcome bonus!

It helps fight loneliness, boredom, and it keeps me challenged. I also love the interaction with other bloggers. The downside is blogging is hard work and takes a lot of my time...
