this is a question I also presented in the forum www.wholenessforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=10 without much responses I thought I'd ask the question here:

Realizing your inner self. There is something more than the body and mind.Realizing the third one in you ,that is more important than the other two and developing it gives you the real happiness that is boundless. You will start loving everything in the Universe, your fellow humans, animals and plants.

To me it means to be open,
to see that truth is not static but in constant motion
to be compassionate
to see unity in diversity
to be both brilliant and foolish and embrace both
to see everything as a reflection of oneself
to see God in all things
to know that every moment and everywhere we look, we are looking into eternity
to see eternity in the face of a child
to see extreme beauty in the wrinkles of an old person
to feel the pain of another
to delight in the happiness of others
... and to know that eating ice cream and a box of chocolates when no-one is looking is being as Godly as it gets -
A spiritual person is one who puts his higher purpose above his own ego when he takes action.
Ofcourse spirituality is not a black-or-white issue. You are not either spiritual or not spiritual. But it comes in different degrees.Eveyone does some spiritual acts everynow and then.It is just that people who do LOTS of spiritual acts are labled "spiritual".
