So far just the new light bulbs.

It's expensive being 'green'. I would love to use solar panels but they're not cheap.

I keep thinking about picking up garbage and selling it to recyclers. Nobody in Chicago wants to pay for glass bottles.

No all "green" efforts have to be expensive. Replacing old less-energy efficient equipment is not only better for the environment, but by using less energy, you end up saving yourself a great deal of money.

I just got my family to recycle on a regular basis. I have been an avid recycler for years now but it seemed to be too much work for my hubby and kids. Now they recycle on a regular basis. I also changed my bulbs to CFL bulbs and clean with green cleaning agents.

I've done a lot of things, listed on my website at www.wikyblog.com/CynthiaWunsch/Environmental_Policies. I'd do more but I live in an apartment and am not allowed to make too many modifications!

I religiously recycle and bring my own cloths bags when I go to the grocery store (and I always keep one in my purse).

I live downtown, so I don't need a car; in the summer, I bike everywhere, and in the winter, I walk whenever it's possible, otherwise, I use public transportation.

I love gardening and have a lot of plants; whenever I can, I water them with used water (for instance, if I wash clothes by hand, I'll use that water.) I also have a couple of empty containers laying around on the balcony, to collect rain water.

we haven't made any more effort. We've always tried to be careful about consumption and waste so this new "green" trend is nothing new.
