This is the light hearted topic for the day. So we can all have fun. What foods do you eat that make you fart?

My hubby - white bens
my dog- broccolli, eggs, and anything really greasy

me- broccolli and anything greasy (yes like my dog)

Be nice, be truthful, and have fun with it.

Amy Just asking--do you have a fixation on farts? I seem to remember another fart discussion you started!

    Hahahahahahahahaha!

I would say jalapeno peppers. Not for me--because I never EVER (ahem) pass gas!. But they make my husband fart.

no it is just a topic that everybody dies laughin at. My 5 year old son announces to the world when he does it and we all die laughing. He got it from a cousin that was visiting. I just though that everyone needed a good laugh today. But if you think it is needed I will start a blog on farts and have a guest blogger every week about the topic.

Actually, Amy--that might go over quite big!

I have no takers on the first to the fart blog. If you really want to let me know I will start one but I am not saying I will post in it all that often. Just when it strikes me to do so.

Holy crap on a cracker, use my hubby! I made the mistake of cooking him corned beef brisket & cabbage a few nights ago. And of course, without thinking, had grabbed him some beer for after work.

By the time the evening was over I could have stored enough gas to power a small country... If I ever make this mistake again, please... one of you come and kick my ass

As for me, brussel sprouts will do it everytime.. lol

Yeap, cabbage is another one *rolls eyes*
  8. SweetViolet
Cabbage and other cruciferous veggies. But I try to take an anti-gas compound so that I don't make a gass of myself...

Oh man I can't believe nobody said Eggs.... I don't know, maybe it's just me but those things cause entire room evacuations almost every time I eat them.
    1. crpitt
      I said eggs
    2. alexpc86
ah crap. sorry, the word cabbage distracted me because I almost gagged. I dont see how people eat that stuff!
    3. amybyrd21
Hey I grew 50 of them this year. If you fry it with bacon you can eat it. If you fry just about anything with bacon you can eat it.
    4. crpitt
I love cabbage! and I especially love it with bacon
    5. amybyrd21
I fry mine with bacon and onion. The only wat they will eat it here.
    6. crpitt
I also add some cream if I am feeling naughty.
    7. alexpc86
Maybe it's the bacon in your cabbage that's giving you the farts, and the bacon I ALWAYS put in my eggs (usually a bacon/egg/cheese sandwhich) and not really eggs or cabbage at all that's the culprit
    8. amybyrd21
No its the cabbage and eggs. The cabbage and eggs have certain enzymes in them that cause gas. In the eggs they have sulfar too. I have free range eggs and they are a little bit better than store bought but not by much
  13. Funkkeejooce
Fizzy drinks, loads of onion consumption,... all else mentioned above.
  14. trailofpen
Foods with a certain protein that my body has a hard time breaking down.

I can't really say any particular food does it to me. Some days I get a lot of gas and other days I have none. I haven't seen a consistency with any food in particular. My kids think it's a riot when anybody farts tho
  16. amybyrd21
We have a running family joke during the holidays. My hubbys brothers will make you puke. So the person that loses the round of cards has to sit in front of where the fan blows so they can catch the smell.
  17. millieriver
If you've done the lemonade cleanse, then you've probably heard of the salt water flush. Talk about farting and other things...yikes! Ummm...don't ask me how I know.
  18. celticmusicfan
I avoid beans. I donno . My family talks about passing gas openly but as a child I was already saying 'ewww'.
  19. wagerwitch

I've learned tho - to hide them well... LOL!
