       My second choice is peaches and I shared that in my post that contains a great recipe for peach and pear pie. It also contains a link to a simple peach salsa recipe salsa that can be assembled in minutes, is non-fat and full of vitamins, and utilizes this most marvelous of summer fruits. This is great over any grilled fish, chicken, or pork tenderloin.

    Peaches, but they have to be a certain kind and purchased under certain circumstances.
    
    When I was a boy, my grandfather would take myself and my grandmother to a peach farm near where he lived. The peaches were sold in paper bags off of a folding card table; the farmer had his peach trees in neat rows behind him.
    
    This was not an era in which organic food was a priority, yet these were. I recall being very young and picking up a large peach with two hands, the sweet and sharp scent, the slight fuzz on its skin, the way the flesh of the peach yielded to the slightest bite by yielding a burst of juice.
    
    Unfortunately, one can't get such fruit at the supermarket.
