What happened to Dell

I have a Dell computer in my home office. It has never given me a problem.
I use a IBM ThinkPad when I travel, which is often. It also has never given me a problem.
Lately I have been hearing nothing but negative things about Dell.
Has Dell gone downhill? What is the problem with their new computers?

The only thing I've ever heard was that the "Dude, you're gettin a Dell" guy had some kind of image problem and he had to be "let go" of his contract.-
I forgot about that guy. Actually I don't think I see many, if any at all, Dell comercials on TV.

nah they didn't get bought out. Their stock is actually holding in better then many other companies and their news hasn't been any bad news lately. I see their computers all over still.

As for the performance I cannot tell you because Dude I didn't get a Dell
