I am looking for a good hosting service to host a Wordpress blog. I want to move to a self hosted from the wordpress.com hosted due to how unstable the server seems lately. I would just host it myself with the mac pro I use as a server, I just can't do this wile walking across America. I need a good dependable server that works well with the Wordpress.org engine.

I'm with bluehost.com.
There's a list of 'suggested' hosts at
wordpress.org/hosting/
Mind you, the list of hosts are affiliate links.
There are many others, and whichever you chose, unless you enjoy fiddling with files and directories, chose a host that offers Auto WordPress install.
Finally, don't forget, ALL servers can experience downtime. -
Justhost.com - The most from low cost

I'm at webhostingpad.com paid for 3years only 1,99 US$/month, unlimited sites, bandwidth and disk

$1.99/mo for unlimited bandwidth and unlimited disk space? Sounds good, although I have also heard unreliable things about webhostingpad.
I used to have Globat.com and would trust their claim with the same thing, although its for $4.44 per month. I also dealt with a few other hosting servers and even a "green" host provider that does offer a partnership discount on the annual fee...
However, currently, I use singlehop as my dedicated server and cannot vouch for anything other than this at the current moment, as host providers can get better and some can get worse or more popular, and less technical support. There's always something..
Bottom line, with all my own sites .. unlimited bandwidth has never been an issue for me - what has always brought my sites down to a standstill is the CPU resources. For shared accounts, they usually limit you to 10% of the shared resource. For these cheap hosting plans, if you happen to end up on a shared server with more than 10 sites that are using up this 10% CPU resource usage, you will feel the pain because when that happens, the server usually just reboots at will.

HostGator - $7.95/mo - unlimited everything, and dependable. I have 2 sites there (1 year)
Byethost - Free - No forced ads, great up time. (1 site 2+ years) -
