Not to sweat the small stuff, and to let go.

And if you sweat the small stuff - buy good deoderant? (grin)

That the SEEING is believing statement isn't true - that even if you see something it can sometimes be fake.

And that sometimes the people that you trust the most - are the most corrupt.

But the most important thing I know to be true --- Is that LOVE truly can overcome everything.

give something is the best way to earn something
    1. wagerwitch
Sometimes. Sometimes for me - but not always. I also enjoy getting. It doesn't have to be anything flagrant or expensive - just a polished stone or a handmade card. But I like to get too. Giving is a blast - cause I love the reactions from peoples. But getting is fun too!

That the approval of others is less important than whether you're satisfied with your work yourself.
    1. wagerwitch
Yup - so agreed with you on this one.

I've learned that I don't have to win every arguement and disagreement just fopr the sake of winning. There's nothing wrong with backing down if it's more important to the other person than it is to me.
    1. wagerwitch
uh uh --- LOL - this one is one I better learn...
    2. Floormodel
it took me 40 years to learn it and I still forget sometimes.

Your past doesn't dictate your future.
    1. wagerwitch
Ahhhh but this is wise - very wise.
  7. JamCan
I've learned that judging people BEFORE you know the deal, is the dumbest thing you can do.
    1. wagerwitch
      Sooo very true.

Many lessons. But here's my best discovery:

When I let chance plan my day it does a better job than I do.
    1. wagerwitch
      Ooooh good one.

Even though it's invisible electricity is still dangerous.

    3. wagerwitch

    4. aningeniousname
      I wouldn't know because I'm not a donkey, I'm a deformed rabbit with a skin condition and a st..stt stutter.
    5. wagerwitch

I learn from everything (not just experience) for continiously developing and lifting the quality of my life. I don't distinguish my experience on good and bad. There is only outcomes (which I use to benefit myself) for future improving and achieving the goal.

being selfless and giving does feel better than receiving.
  12. Rivy
I've learned the only time I have is now.
    1. wagerwitch
      Sooooo Very true... Wow.

I have learned many things in life. Best thing is be happy with yourself and life will be much better for you. Who cares if people like you or not, if they don't it's their loss.
    1. wagerwitch
Nice point of view - that I wish more people had.
  14. dbowles1017
    Don't take life too seriously.
    1. chicky401
Yes very important one however I never really did so I cannot say I learned this from experience

Touching fire is bad, it burns!
    1. wagerwitch
      LMAO! But sooo very true.

I agree with jafabrit, but also find an outlet so you can deal with the things that sometimes do pile up. We all have those weeks, months or years that just eat away at us and if you have an outlet it sure can relieve a ton of tension!
    1. wagerwitch
True - what kind of outlets?
    2. christibroer
      Wagerwitch,
All kinds! Physical works for me...I'm a gardener and get more than a bit of freedom from digging. But honestly in the winter it has to be writing and developing thoughts and ideas. I must admit when I'm really haunted the release almost has to be physical in some form, though.

My Experience!! It has taught (rather made Me see) 'so much' actually, both best and worst, that I find it difficult to keep track of all of them, of all of it; I rather do not know what to do with them; Yes, I know, I know I have been lame to 'improve' or so, and so I have only indulged Myself in a self-imposed poverty & artly richness called "POETRY", and God, am I not Happy? Well, I think I am!

    Somebody, pray for My Reincarnation!

    LOL

Sorry that two times it got posted. I might have clicked twice, I don't know; and I cannot find delete button here anywhere, there is only something called report which asks you if want to report this as spam and offensive, which I rather do not find!

      Apologies!

I think you are on the right track. Being a poet. Being creative. Taking your life - which is a perspective of the world only you can have - and getting it down, putting it down, in whatever mode you find - and leaving your days, your time, your perspective, for others to find and share. A better purpose in life than that? Such is hard for me, a fellow artist, to realize. Thank you.

Do not peek over the top of a missile silo.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Rooster! You LIVE!!! Yay! I feared you had completely taken after your moniker and snuffed it.
  20. nothingprofound
To be nothing. To have no opinions. Just to live.
  21. jaffermaniar
Walk away when your gut feeling says you do not belong here.

    Bye now !
