What in your opinion is the best free antivirus/security suit for 2009?

My first choice is Avast! Home edition. I use it along with Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware and Windows Defender.
Runner ups: AVG Free Home Edition and Avira

    I use McAfee and have been happy so far. I dislike Norton. One you install it, uninstalling is very difficult.

    Is Mcafee free?
    I agree with you regarding Norton... It is a real bugger, and it really slows down your PC...

      no macfee is not free ..you get it on trial period but i vl suggest avast which is the best free antivirus which most the features free... check on my blog about the same..

    Definitely Avast.

    The less resources used the better and its one of the best - free or paid versions.
