I wont to know what all you photographers have in your camera bag.

My main gear:

Nikon D3
Nikon d90
Nikon 14-24 f2.8
Nikon 24-70 f2.8
Nikon 70-200 f2.8
Nikon 50mm f1.4 (for when the light sucks)

2 sb900
2 pocket wizards
pocket knife
tiny flash light
micro fibre cloth
Sharpie marker
extra rear cap
extra batteries
folded small plastic trash bag in case of down pour

There is a lot more junk and filters that I never use floating around in there too!

Hey, I started with a Canon Rebel shooting family weddings. It is not the gear that makes the photographer. I have seen some amazing photos come from cellphones!

True. but I miss my cannon ae-1. but had to get rid of last year. But with todays tec. with the camers the onse I have know are nice. and would not mind a digital SLR.

    Uhm sad to say...

    I have 2 cameras.

Cell phone.. And it's usually in my pocket with bits of gum wrapper and some change.

And my digital - which has a very tight fitting case - that I can't fit anything in with it.

But - my dig IS waterproof to like 100 feet or something - which is a plus...

Ah, I wish I had a really nice digital SLR with a couple of lenses. As it is, I have a Sony Cybershot.

    Someday.

Unfortunately, not my camera. I lost my thin little point-and-shoot Kodak on a Search & Rescue mission. Found the person but then discovered my camera was gone. That is, my brand new camera. Phooey!

My lovely Olympus E400 digital slr
    14-42mm and 40-150mm Olympus lenses
Pen and paper (throw-back from when I had a manual slr)
A couple of extra lens caps
    Not much else these days.

I'm desperately trying to stop using this machine as a 'point and shoot' and explore more of its features. I learnt to take pictures with a totally manual Olympus OM1 but I've just gotten lazy. This ability to let the camera do the thinking was what kept me away from digital cameras for so long.

    Nikon is the best ! You have great cameras! I have a Nikon D80 & 2 lenses 18-55 & 55-200. For point & shoot I use Lumix DMC-FX07

Nikons are great for SLRs but their point and shoot camera's are perhaps the worst I've ever seen. Panasonic's Lumix line, along with Cannon, are some of the best point and shoots out there from top to bottom. As for SLR's, I have an old Sony dSLR and it still works great.

hey d90 users, does the d90 hold up as a solid backup camera compared to a d3 or d700 being your primary ? is the d90 similar to the d300's internally ?
