I wrote a story about how my cat locked me out of the house one day and was wondering, what is the wierdest or most unusual thing your pet has done to you.

My oldest cat is just as cantankerous as me. One morning I was tired and kept hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock. My cat, obviously sick of hearing the buzzing sound, walked on the clock until he shut it off and then whacked me across the face with his paw.

I thank we may have the same cat. LOL

My outside dog will not let me walk in the road he keeps pushing me towards the line on the side of the road and he pushes us out of the way of ant hills in the back field. My poms just lay here and want petted so they have nothing they really do.
    1. InnocentOwner
Safety concious dogs. Good. Do they look both ways before crossing the street?
    2. amybyrd21
the outside dog does the poms dont get a chance to get near the road

My dog used to attack anything in a uniform. He once bite a hole in a cop's pants.
    1. amybyrd21
lol that reminds mo of the Smokie (the pom) biting the UPS mans pants the other day. He was hanging on to it and Rebekka had to remove him and she wa laughing so hard she almost dropped him.

my cat is a pain in the neck. She's cute because she plays fetch - with strings, balls, whatever. She will also take a ball to the top of the stairs, chase it as it drops, then get it and do this all over again. She also cries at the ghost in the house, bites me for no reason and brings pennies to bed. If she's hungry, she lays on top of my chest. She loves to play with water and drink out of the toilet.
    1. InnocentOwner
so, your cats a penny pincher? LOL Never heard of that before
    2. sjtavo
yes - last night she brought a penny to bed - usually it's random strings/hair ties/rubberbands but last night, she brought a penny. She never eats the strings, she just likes to chew them and play fetch with them. She's odd.
    3. InnocentOwner
We have a shoe string. Fuego takes a hold of one end and runs up and down the stairs and Beijing chase the other end of the lace thats dragging behind. Then the third cat Toby chases Beijing. I need to get video camera...and band aids.

hmmm, i'm wondering, do you think we can teach your cat how to go for bigger money, like dollar bill? Lets take your cat for a walk.

This probably is more about weird things owners do for pets!

Our cat was about a year old when we got him, and someone had taught him to drink only from a water bottle.

He will become seriously dehydrated with a bowl of water right in front of him and has had bad kidney problems because of it.

So he now has his own watter bottle and we "water" him several times a day. Whenever he's thirsty, he comes up and pokes one of us; if we don't respond quickly enough, he goes to the water bowl (for the other cats) and splashes the water all over the floor.
    1. DollinNYC
aww poor kitty! maybe you can re-train him to drink from a bowl? try "watering" him closer and closer to the water bowl until his water bottle is in the bowl? just a thought.
    2. InnocentOwner
Have you tried hanging a water feeder, you know, like for bunnies?
    3. Soirette
Thanks to you both. I think he's too stubborn to re-train; I've tried. I will try the bunny-watering system.

My cat plays fetch and he LOVES paper. If you open the mail or shuffle papers around he perks right up and comes over to you with that look junkies have. He will also dig though a small garbage can we have near the desk (that is just for paper)until he finds the perfect piece. He'll bring it over to you and drop it, and if you don't respond by throwing it he will meow at you until you do.
    1. InnocentOwner
I wish mine would meow when you don't throw it. She reaches up rather gingerly with her paw onto my leg then slowly lets her claws come out till I succumb

I took my minipin outside to pee one day. Well it snowed and I guess he didn't like it so he started walking on only his front two legs and peed that way. I thought it was hilarious looking!

      ha! cute!

Several years ago when I was living in a loft, I had two cats. One night, when I'm home alone on the computer (bathroom is about 20 feet behind me) I hear a sound coming from the bathroom. I turn around to find my male cat sitting on the toilet peeing... I'm not sure why he decided to do that but from that day on, it was the only way he would go to the bathroom ..

If you looked at him while he was in there, he would hiss and growl at you... Sufficed to say, we always had to leave the lid up or we'd get a headbutt for making him wait lol ..

We also had a jacuzzi tub in there and anytime you would fill it and turn the jets on he would attack the bubbles by throwing himself on them .. This is a 13 lb Angora Persian btw ... So .. he'd wiggle his bum, go for the dive then jump back out .. running all over the house, howling and looking like a drowned rat ..

I don't think that kitty was right in the head lol ..
    1. InnocentOwner
I want your cat. No more cat boxes.
    2. DollinNYC
I love the hissing and growling if you looked at him LOL!
    3. bettieblogger
I asked him one time if he would like a beer and some porn while he was doin his business .. I'm sure he rolled his eyes at me.

My big cat farts a lot too. Smells of rotten pumpkin
    2. amybyrd21
My little dogs love to fart while I sleep. They tend to sleep at the head of the bed on the pillows so it gets really bad. we have banned them from eating eggs at all. I turen green in the middle of the night.

My cat spoke to me for the first time the other day. She said she is content with her life.
    1. InnocentOwner
I don't think I would want my cats to speak. I'd be afraid of what they might say

TAG (Trader Auction Games) Is a free game site that you trade the points you make on the games for auctions that the other players put out (and you get free gold status by asking for the gold status from Platinum members) that is currently running a 350.00 contest for the "CUTEST" pet picture from all of TAG's Members.

So if you're a member of TAG you can put the pictures of your pet up and then have people vote for them...

I just thought I'd tell you pet owners about it.

I haven't entered it yet - but I might toss up some pics of my annoying brat cats who keep dumping my mom's plants DAILY (My mom is about ready to kill my cats right now... I have three 1 year old cats.... Sigh...)

Anyhow - my animals do all sorts of things.

Like had a guest come over and an old cat just decided to pee on him NOT SPRAY -- pee... all over his lap.

And while I inwardly laughed my arse off - my outward appearance was mortified.

I'll have to checkout that site...and remind me to never hold one of your cats.

My cat does a lot of weird things. So weird, in fact, sometimes it creeps me out.

There is a corner in my home where my cat frequently visits. He will meow, jump, and in some cases, attack this corner. Other times, which I find unusual to say the least, he will get on his back, purr, and seem to be in total ecstasy. The only time he gets on his back and acts that way is when I'm giving him a belly rub.

Some people have told me that it is probably a ghost. Others believe it's a portal. I maintain that I have absolutely no idea what is going on. Cats are mysterious that way and I think it is one of the reasons why people are so infatuated with them.

Considerably weirdest thing when my dog urinates on my leg while surfing the internet.
    1. InnocentOwner
Maybe thats his version of 'thumbs down' for the content. Gawd, I hope you weren't reading my blog when he did it.

I had a cat who dragged all of the towels it could find in the house and stuff them under my bed. I wouldn't notice at first... then slowly I would think, hey where are all the towels. Then... dang it kids, what did you do with the towels. I had to catch the cat in the act to find out the mystery.

Moral: someone obviously did not vacuum under their bed.
    1. InnocentOwner
LOL Yeah, I think it would of taken me awhile to catch onto that too

My cat figured out how to open cupboards with his claw and I would come home from work every day to find every single cupboard wide open.

Eventually I had to tie cupboard handles together.
I should have just invested in child proof locks.
    1. InnocentOwner
Don't get self closing hinges! Mine do the same thing except let them slam close. It's annoying when you are trying to sleep and you here the constant THUMP Thump thump of the door slamming shut. Go with the child proof locks, definitly
