on how they handle the event, the opening ceremony was incredible except for the fakes stuff that they used, athens 2004 was such a disaster, i read on blog that the stadium they used are now useless as in ugly
sydney 2000 was also good but i saw on beijing the culture of the host country which i didn't see much on sydney 2000
by the way tokyo has the big chance to host the 31st olympiad on 2016, but the official announcement will be on next year

I think in respect of people enthusiasm, culture display and the organizing the games, the nod goes to China. Congrats !
Moreover in all of its history at the games, China has managed 112 Golds since it first participated in the games in 1932, but here it managed a whopping 51 golds, So it almost jumped halfway matching the tally of all time Golds. I think China should be able to now produce, good athletes in Track and Field events at London Olympics, especially in Long Jump and Tripe Jump events, who could smash all the Athletics records at once and for all. -

I would have to say the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, because I tried to 'make it' with a curling blog during these times! I soon found out the enormous effort involved, but still paid more attention to the results and the people competing.

I think each one is special in their own way, hard to pick just one because each had their own memorable moments.
