Mine is obvious, for those of you who keep up with my blog "I Say Hella", which was to randomly move to New York, a city I'd never been to and knew nothing about in the name of self discovery.

How bout you?

Hor-Rah! I think 2008 is the year of the "balls" people are really taking more chances for themselves.

I was visited by a friend in Canada I hadn't seen in a while & in the process I did a lot of local things I've been meaning to, including go on a swamp tour & visit an alligator farm.

      Where do you live?

South Louisiana. Used to be in New Orleans, but after Katrina I bought a house about 50 miles NE of there (on the "good" side of the Baton Rouge fault line.) If you want to throw it into mapquest or some such, our lovely little town is Abita Springs.

Divorced my husband and started a rockin' new life. I've kicked my shyness to the curb and met a lot of great new friends, including the best boyfriend ever. I started being a lot more active. This year I picked up 3 fun new activities-kayaking, belly dancing, and running races.

Is that the thing Jay Z was at? How was it this year?
    2. sisterofmercy
Yes, it's a shame that everyone focused on one artist that was there, so much unneccesary fuss about it. It was great, wasn't too muddy and Vampire Weekend and Biffy Clyro were amazing.

I spent a week cruising the Inside Passage in Alaska on the Golden Princess and then spent two weeks in a quiet cabin in the North Carolina Smokey Mountains just north of Maggie Valley. Oh, do I want to go back!

      That sounds AMAZING!!

Knit Knot Tree, although my friend didn't think we were doing something awesome, just did it for fun, but it did hit the national and international news.

It was sad when we took it down after a few months, but during the months it was up the public just had so much fun with it, and a couple even tied the knot under it

Well, 2008 has been interesting, I was in Egypt at the beginning of the year and traveled, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, and I will be in Israel going into 2009.

I cannot explain what has been the best site, I have set my eyes on many sites in 2008
