Totem poles and 1st growth trees.

Edit: I am multi-tasking from work and had to answer the phone.

I do not dwell in a city. I dwell in a community and a region where we do not adhere to the bigger the better prevails. We are adhere to the concept that small structures harmoniously blended into the natural landscape are beautiful. We have legislated this and in fact no man made structure other than those required for safety reasons like radio rowers can exceed 28 feet in height. As a result we have a gorgeous skyline. And as we do not allow street lighting the moon, stars and planets are clearly visible at night.

I'd say the Golden Gate Bridge. I have a lovely view of it from my living room.

We have a lot of lovely historic buildings, but one of the elements on our skyline that's most amazing is the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Building downtown...

It's a bit like a mirrored version of the Emerald City...

I live in Birmingham, UK. We don't do beautiful architecture.

Having said that, we are famous for having the world's largest blob of snot. :-)

Washington, DC has many well known bits of beautiful and recognizable architecture. But The White House because we have a beautiful family residing inside ... for the first time in eight years.

"beautiful family residing inside" - how do you know, have you met them, how well do you know them.

Do not believe everything you read or watch on TV.

Perhaps these videos might make you question the 'beautiful people'

Obama and his family are beautiful in their devotion and love for one another, regardless of your politics.

For every video you post critical of Obama, you will find a hundred critical of Bush. He's only been in office a month and came into office during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression and two foreign wars. You can't fix the Bush disaster overnight.

I voted for Obama as senator, as primary candidate, and as president. He is the perfect example of American excellence and success by merit.

Umm I would have to say either Bristol Cathedral or Temple Meads Train Station, both stunning buildings.

I live in Chicago, the birthplace of the American skyscraper and Chicago school of architecture. I am incredibly fond of the view from the Signature Room atop the John Hancock tower, but you're asking specifically about architecture.

I have seen several concerts at the Pritzker Pavilion designed by Frank Gehry, but it's not my favorite.

I would have to go with a modernist classic out in Plainfield, IL designed by Mies.

Washington, DC is full of beautiful architecture, but I'd say the National Cathedral. Just as a building it's really awe inspiring.
