My best one is Mozilla Firefox
  2. justicenotblind
I use Safari and at times firefox.
    1. Techfox
Well safari is Fine, but at Windows it looks Really weird, but I find firefox better in bookmarking and Tabbed Browsing!
    2. clioandme
Safari works better for tabbed browsing for me, but maybe that's because I'm on a Mac, which lets me switch tabs with keyboard shortcuts. With Firefox I have to use my trackpad, which slows me down.
    3. thegoodknife
ctrl + tab should switch tabs. i still prefer firefox on my mac.
    4. clioandme
Thanks for the CTRL + Tab thing. Must see if I can get used to that. I'd rather set it to Safar's defaults. If Firefox had this feature in its menus, then I could tell my system to change the keyboard shortcuts. Since it's not in the menu, I cannot change the keyboard shortcuts---at least not with my bag of tricks.
  3. Albran
    I prefer Opera.
    1. clioandme
I like Opera's full-screen capabilities. It's sometimes nice to see only the contents of a web page without the frames of a window, buttons, etc. Opera used to be a disaster on the Mac, at least from my point of view, but it's come along nicely in the past few years.
    2. Techfox
well can you please tell us what is the most thing you like about it??? cause I never have used it ..
    3. techfun
I prefer a combination of Firefox an Opera. I run Linux and synchronize preferences back and forth between work and home. I telecommute often and use my home machine for work. To avoid mixing business and pleasure I keep things that are strictly personal (bookmarks, saved passwords, etc...) in Opera and don't sync that with my work machine.

I do have IE6 installed on here too (IE4Linux - www.tatanka.com.br/) for those few sites that are so badly designed they require IE or to check out new pages to make sure they format well there too.

I have to support IE, Safari, and FF on about 130 PC's and I can say that from a support point of view, I wish everyone ran Firefox. In my prior job, managing an ISP support team that was supporting 25,000+ users, getting end users to install Firefox was often the end solution for people with chronic Windows/IE interaction problems.
  4. clioandme
On my Mac: Safari more often than not at the moment, but some sites were designed exclusively for Firefox. I'm happy with other browsers too, though.

    onmymac.blogspot.com/2007/08/in-earlier-post-i-described-main-web.html

On a PC I am more likely to use Firefox, if that is available.
    1. Techfox
Safari Might be a good browser, but in browsing it has more Errors than Firefox, and in Firefox you have a session restorer and other powerful functions to use, yet in safari you have no New functions, just old Internet explorer functions updated!!!!, well that is my opinion at least but if you want me to see all you opinions please vote on my Blog vote poll at www.techburrow.blogspot.com
  5. monkeytale
Firefox more often than not. Opera is my 2nd choice.
  6. ender
firefox ... safari works like crap for me, and i've never figured out why. (not done any mods to it)

and, of course, IE is of the devil ... and i'd say that even if i wasn't on a mac!

    microsloth windoze = the evil
    1. monkeytale
      Mac snob....lol

      :))
    2. clioandme
You've got it the wrong way around, Mikster. Microsoft quit developing IE for the Mac years ago. Can't even download it from their site anymore.
    3. monkeytale
Oh...thanks for the info...but I always call ender a mac snob when I can though.

      :))
    4. clioandme
We Mac users aren't snobs. We just know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, enjoyable and painful . . .
    5. iriegal
Ender..Regarding IE (devil is and understatement)

SOMETHING SINISTER about the way the I touches the E
    6. Techfox
Hey I don't know about you guys, but for me Firefox is the best, then comes opera, then comes mac and then comes IE...
  7. Norski
Favorite: FireFox ("best?" that depends on 'for-what')
  8. Theresa111
Mac! control + tab worked! Thanks! I use Safari and Firefox.
  9. Nim
    Firefox & Opera
    1. Techfox
Well You have to choose on of them buddy...
    2. clioandme
Why choose? I don't restrict myself to one browser, and I'm mystified by people who do. Still, my wife doesn't like to think about these things, so I've got Firefox set up as her browser, since it can handle the most situations.
  10. gouthamlal
    Firefox and flock
  11. esofthub
    My favorite is FireFox
  12. ID4ID4
Opera for web browsing, Firefox for web dev.
  13. JustAFarmBoy23
I like to use firefox. I'll have to try Opera some more and see how I like it.
  14. ritubpant
I like firefox but the beta browser thats been out has won my heart. Here is a link if you wanna know more about it
    www.worknplay.net/2007/08/great-3d-internet-browser.html
    1. Techfox
Well Firefox won a lot of hearts , when it was released, and that is because Every one was very angry with the crappy Internet Explorer which none of you have said that you have liked...
  15. Techfox
About 70% of the users here prefer Firefox , and 20% prefer safari, and 10% prefer Oprah, well vote for these browsers on www.techburrow.blogspot.com at the vote poll!
    1. clioandme
Giving an opinion about a browser independently of the platform on which it is operating makes little sense to me. Sorry.
  16. XIII
Firefox because it works best for me on Windows, Os X and Linux.
    1. Techfox
Well for all asking, me choosing Firefox as the best browser is my opinion and it doesn't affect the voting at the vote poll nor this statistic , clearly because all of us have free minds to choose which browser we find best for us..
  17. Blackysky
    firefox and opera
    1. Techfox
Well Tell us which one you use most?
  18. bloggingmix
    Mozilla Firefox
  19. Sicarii
Firefox 89% of the time and Safari 10% of the time. MSIE 7 1% of the time for those pesky corporate tasks that only run on IE, bleah!
  20. LadyBanana
99% Firefox.. love all the add-ons and Greasemonkey stuff... Just the odd site won't work well in FF so use IE Tab in Firefox to easily switch!
    1. Techfox
Well the one thing I like most about Firefox is it's add-ons and themes, which make it the most customized browser I have ever seen..
  21. iriegal
I prefer Firefox, less crashes and infiltrations from "big brother" forum of AMERICA..
  22. wares4life
Give me FF or give me nothing!!!
    1. Techfox
Hey Nice thing to say about your best browser!!
    2. Techfox
Well with nothing you could not surf the the net buddy... and that's why a lot of internet users carried insults to Microsoft for making IE a part of windows, yet nobody even said a word about Apple, who did the same as Microsft by making Safari a part of Mac...well Apple for me is a New Microsoft company..
  23. Techfox
according to these replies Firefox is still in the lead as the best browser!
    1. Techfox

  29. furniture27
    firefox all the way
  30. linewbie
Firefox with IE tab. There are some sites that are still designed for IE only...
  31. dotartdude
The version of Safari, before the current beta ones, kept crashing my Mac when I watched video. At that time I switched to Firefox. I keep running into sites that suggest Firefox for proper viewing.
  32. friendinME
Well, I am cowering before I give my opinion here. I've used Firefox, Opera, Flock, Maxton, Netscape, NetCaptor, and IE.

Opera was fastest for me. Firefox is coolest. Flock is nice for bloggers (watch Flock, it will be very nice with some growth). Netscape is total junk (imho).

But IE7(with IEpro)is my browser of choice because (1) it has the best and the most professional add-ons (professional add-ons are generally published for IE first, Firefox second, and Opera if they get around to it), (2) the best support for the browser itself and the add-ons, and (3)I never have compatibility issues on a website with it.

Features that IE may lack (like in-line search, spell check, mouse gestures, tab options) can be supplied by using a very nice free add-on available at www.ie7pro.com.
  33. Techfox
