Come on people. Fruits and vegetables have been done to death.

    Grains are much more exciting.

    So versatile.

Bulgar wheat, cous cous, all other grains ♥ them
Edit: except cream of wheat - yucky wallpaper paste stuff!

I completely understand about the Cream of Wheat. It is pretty bad.

I really like the taste of barley, especially in soups, but seldom prepare it because of the long cooking time. The majority of my grain intake is wheat, in the form of pasta, tortillas, and bread. I also like couscous, but my husband doesn't, so we don't eat it very often.

I detest cereals, either cold or cooked. ick!

Oh, I dearly love pasta. Lasagne is a favourite, as is capellini.

But tonight it is tortillas...we are finishing off the turkey in the form of turkey enchiladas.

I love barley, but like Violet don't use it often; rice is my favorite staple grain.

Grits - processed from hominy that was processed from corn. Yep, it would have to be grits.

I love grains in general, particularly whole grains. My lunch is usually oatmeal (oats) or malt-o-meal (wheat). I've recently started using couscous (semolina) as an alternative to pasta. I cook with barley sometimes, especially in skillet dishes. And I love multi-grain breads; we got a loaf of 12-grain recently that was wonderful.
