I am a green builder and am amazed at what inspires people to "go green." Solar is hot right now, however many of our clients are excited about insulation or green cabinets. What excites you? If your green component is interesting to me, I will blog about it at www.sustainword.com

I am hungry so I just ate a PB&J. Now that peanut butter is clear of salmonella I can eat it worry free. I did just hear that cashews are not being recalled. NUTS!

Just wondering whether you have any ideas about green certificate in India

Are you looking for a green certified products or certifications for people to get? I am not sure what standards there are for green over there.

None of my tech things are green. They're mostly grayish or silverish

Viking now has an answer to the green egg cooker- they have a silver egg that is stainless steel. PV is most efficient when it is violet so it can collect the sun's rays more efficiently.

We are currently looking into home automation platformsthat also monitors your energy usage. This will let our clients know exactly where they are spending (or wasting) money on energy.

It's not exactly a form of technology, and it's not "new", but the BLOOMhouse is fascinating. It shows us all what can really be done with the technology we have right now. I like the idea of the home automation platforms; they're being implemented in some of the businesses already.

The most fascinating form of technology right now... hmm... the printable solar cells developed by Nanosolar - fantastic stuff!

I can't wait for the low cost solar cells to become more efficient as well. Right now we are installing panels, however I can see the thin films becoming very viable and reliable in the next couple of years.

    Turning human waste into fuel

A much better idea than spreading it over crops where there are contaminants that do not break down and then get into our food supply.

I like the passive solar idea of using solar furnaces mounted on walls. Although, without fans, it seems more of a space heating option in single rooms.

Nanosolar's solar pavement. Allows us to cover vast areas of space needed for roads and parking lots, and also has a hospitality benefit: by turning the heat in to energy, you remove it (Conservation of Energy) from the environment, making your customers much more comfortable and eliminating that stuffy feeling you normally get while walking through a large Wal-Mart style parking lot.

The technology is very close to becoming economical. We need to get it to a point of "grid parody" for the whole nation and then we will not have any use for foreign energy!
