I love the Sierras of California. I once stayed in the area for a month just exploring and discovering, awesome camping and hiking.

Well, just the country. The woods, dirt roads, fields, pastures, wetlands.

Whatever bohemian inner city spot I might find. As long as I had my own space to retreat when I had the need.

I agree with all those who said home, probably I like bangalore because of the same reason, I miss my home and my folks soooo much:( that bangalore looks better than any great vacation island or beach on earth....

I dont think i have one.
But I imagine someday, I would like to be lying down under a starry night with the one I love under a blanket and we both happen to catch sight of a falling star to where we both make a silent wish and without having to ever say a word. You just know it’s the same wish for eachother.

Some lonely beach in California east of Santa Clarita. Never caught the name, nor do I remember how I got there, but it was beautiful and solitary.

    Crater Lake, Oregon.

    Serene and awe-inspiring.
    1. rfburnhertz
      Crater Lake is awesome.
There is very little in Oregon that is not stunning.

I use to, as a kid, spend my summers in Oregon.
I spent all of last summer working in Portland and on the rare day off from work, was able to escape the hotel room and visit some beautiful places.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able/willing to venture much beyond 100 miles given the price of gas at the time.

The Bitter Root forest in Montana.

      No. I wish.
I lived there for about two years and have camped in the area several times.

Wow, My favorite place is where I live, Winona MN. I left a link to what I blogged about it to show why it's my favorite place. If you don't want links left in your threads, maybe you should make that known at the top of them so people don't waste their time. I guess maybe a one-word answer such as "home" is better discussion.
    2. burmesedays
Yeah spot on Shyflower. I just noticed in time and edited out the link to a blog which is all about where I live!

I actually loved most of the places I went to.
Not because of the scenery but because of the people I met.
All are different but all are interesting.
So I just can not answer that question...

My favorite place is out in the middle of a calm lake fishing for Blue-Gill, or trolling near the banks looking for catfish or bass. I make a mean fish fry!

My favorite fried fish? Catfish and Northern Pike.

Where I live--Montana's Rocky Mountain Front.
    1. rfburnhertz
I went to your blog and saw were your from.
I went to a Rodeo there when I was a kid.

We use to go to Bean Lake once or twice a year also.
  32. dcarroll
Augusta Rodeo is the largest one-day rodeo in the United States, although it is smaller (and less wild) than when I was younger. Bean Lake is so low that fishing isn't allowed anymore, but it is a nice place.
