From what I've seen and I have been around... I would have to say Rio de Janeiro.

Beautiful beaches and women, samba, great food and a joy of life that is hard to find in people.

Rio de Janeiro sounds very nice indeed!

I haven't seen that much in the world to call a favorite city. Lisabon was very nice, friendly people, lovely weather, nice architecture. But this also goes for Salamanca. I need to travel more!

Lisbon is beautiful! But my opinion isn't isent! lol
I also enjoy Amsterdam But it is sooooooooooooooooo cold!
    2. TJlubrano
Whahaha yeah it's starting to get colder indeed -_-'. Amsterdam is a lovely city, very touristic!

Oh I went to Kaunas and Vilnius (Lithuania). Interesting cities as well. But I can't say I have a favorite city at the moment.

South America has some of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life. Never been to Africa though, have been told it is very beautiful! Would like to go when I get the time.

Yeah! Africa *sighs and starts making a travel list again*

I'd go for a city with a Bay: San Sebastian; Sydney.

    Paris is beautiful!
    1. TJlubrano
True! Paris is indeed very beautiful.
    2. R1VERT1LT
For me Paris is over-rated... but I can understand the enchantment.
    3. TJlubrano
      Overrated in what sense?

It is a beautiful city. Dont get me wrong. But its not the kind of place I would like to go more than once or twice.

Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, New York, London, Rome... are all cities that I cannot get tired of.
    5. TJlubrano
Aah I see! I was just wondering ^_^

Man you just listed all the cities I need to see! But hopefully I'm going to Rome in October!
    6. R1VERT1LT
I love Rome... wouldnt mind living there for a couple of years

Everybody I know that's been to Sydney loved it. I don't have any favorites as I haven't travelled nearly enough. I wish I could see every beautiful city in the world, but that's impossible.

      You have to start somewhere...

It's a tossup between Tucson, Arizona where I used to live and Ithaca, NY where I live now.

Tucson because of the sunshine, the desert, the mountains, the fabulous sunsets, the million stars at night, the boundless sky.

Ithaca because of the gentle, peace-loving people, the relaxed, easy lifestyle, the gorges, waterfalls, lakes, trees, wildflowers, hills.

From your description I would side with Tucson... must be a beautiful place to find inspiration and write poetry!

Seoul, Tokyo or Hong Kong. I can't decide.

My two favorites are Miami Beach and Old Orlando. The combined forces of amazing architecture, incredible turqoise ocean and bay, tropical lushness and diverse and interesting people make Miami Beach one of the coolest spots on earth. And old Orlando, where I live most of the time in my Key West style bungalow. A couple of miles from here are a dozen live theaters, numerous art galleries and museums with one of the youngest, hippest demographics in the U S. Set in a heavily forested subtropical parklike setting, it's a very mellow vibe.

It is very difficult to choose just one city that I like, so here are the few that I lived in and liked - Sydney, Aust., Aberdeen, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Singapore which is all city, Genoa, Rome, Barcelona, Toledo, Nazareth,Brussels, Jacksonville,FL and St. Augustine- one of the oldest city of the US. and of course my hometown of Ottawa. Also enjoyed Victoria,BC, Halifax, Nova Scotia

I have been travelling a lot but nothing can be so beautiful as Paris. Each time I go I find new places and a great nightlife. As a Brazilian i Must say Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in this world.

Probably Glasgow or Newcastle-on-Tyne, with my favorite American city probably being New Orleans. I love those Scottish and Borderer type cities because they're filled with a kind of tough-minded, sanguine, lovable people that you usually can't find in that kind of place.
