I like "48 Hours Mystery" and also "Nanny 911", like you Geno. Some of those kids are possessed. Can I add the flip side - reality shows that bite? I don't like any of the new shows Ryan Seacrest produces. Trash.
    1. genopianist54
Yeah... right i don't know how those kids can do such bad things (but funny sometimes)to their parent? i don't think i did to mine when i was a kid...

i love nanny 911. love it.

i recently saw one where nanny stella pretty much gave up on the mom and had to just concentrate on helping the dad. this was the episode where the youngest boy kept dropping the f-bomb and nanny stella actually made the mom watch & listen to the tape - while they were still filming all of this - and the mom turned to the camera and lied. swore the boy said "frickin" instead. i was hoping that the dad was gonna divorce the woman and take the kids cuz she actually frightened me.

miami ink is ok. i like LA Ink better. but i tend to watch it only if i'm up late and have that as background while i'm doing something else.

    i like deadliest catch - that's a reality show!
  5. fineartathome
If its on TV how can it be reality?
  6. CCrochets
I like Dr Drew celebrity rehab. That's reality right?

My wife actually got me hooked to "The Biggest Loser" a couple of years ago. But that's it. I couldn't care less who liked who, or who was agruing with who, but I did like the competitions.

Thank goodness for DVR's, so my wife can watch the rest of the crap reality shows.

The Amazing Race for me... it helps me get ideas of a beautiful places in the world...

The Amazing Race Asia is also a good spin-off

Mostly I detest reality shows, but there are a few I like:

    Clean House
    Neat
    Peter Perfect
In can't think of the name---makeover show with Finola Hughes

That one where people degrade themselves for money. Gee, that narrows it down.

I watch 2 of them. American Idol because I can't blog about it if I don't watch it. Blogging about it brings in lots of traffic, which equates to me being paid to hear some truly awful performances. I can live with that, there are worse ways to whore yourself out, like being governor of Alaska.

The second show I watching is So You Think You Can Dance. These are people who actually have talent. You can be well assured that none of the women (or men) are going to be so revoltingly fat that it should be a crime for them to wear leotards. I might not always 'get' what the piece is about or like it when I do, but for the most part the show is always interesting and with great artists both on the stage and behind the scenes.

    I really like "Hell's Kitchen"
But I could never work for him...I'd be terrified!
    1. cranelegs
love it too! i'd be a terrible contestant though. just one, "come eer you!" and i'd slice three fingers off.
  15. howisbradley
My favorite reality show is the one I live each day. It's a lot more entertaining than the crap on television.
    1. bradhart
I've always found that people who say this watch pretty boring shows to start with.
    2. howisbradley
Nah, I don't watch boring shows. I virtually watch no television at all. I watch LOST and Samantha Who each week and that's it. The rest of the week the set is turned off. I'd rather spend time watching videos or surfing the web than watching television.

Though I love LOST, I'm glad it's suppose to go off the air after this season. That way I'll be down to watching only 30 minutes a week.
    3. bradhart
If you like lost you'd probably like fringe. There are a lot of good shows on, unfortunately most of them are on cable.

Adobe TV. Plenty of good stuff about Photoshop, Flash, Flex, Premiere, etc.

Must-see TV for any web designer or web developer.

I just bought the first season of The Mole on DVD. I loved that show, but only the first two seasons, with no celebrities and Anderson Cooper hosting.

    I always watch Top Chef.

The "House" series on PBS is great - 1900 House, Manor House, Frontier House, etc.

Little People, Big World. I have no idea why I love that show. Also, I catch the Duggar's specials when they are on TLC or Discovery.

There used to be a show called Murder in Small Town X that I liked.

I like the Food Network and the shows about buying houses on HGTV. I guess those are reality.

Wipe Out! It's really stupid but it cracks me up!
  21. Enlight
I have never watched any of those shows

    None. I hate them all.

I don't know how it happened--I'm not a particularly "cook-y" person--but I like Kitchen Nightmares & Hell's Kitchen. I'm also somewhat drawn to court shows (Judge Judy & the like,) probably because my father was a Judge.
  25. hirsutemal
it's got to be the news bulletin - all the rest of "reality" shows are far too artificial!
