I just added a nifty new poll over at kitchentablemedicine.com so you can VOTE for the conditions that interest you to read about!!

Hooray!! I will NOW weight what I write about based off of the latest poll results, and you are also able to submit your own topic ideas!!

Please don't add anything dirty. LOL... My parents do read my blog. *paranoid*

So many of you guys have been asking me to write on particular alternative medicine protocols for the less common disease states, and I am happy to do that research for you. Thanks so much for all the great feedback!

It really motivates me to know I am writing to help a friend or reader, so please do keep submitting your topic ideas. You are welcome to suggest them here, add them to the poll, or continue to message me privately.

Most articles will go up within the month.

A specific diet geared towards eating the right foods and combination of foods to gain healthy weight that sticks! Diet can be geared towards a picky eater with a thin, small framed body and auburn hair!

      LMAO

Well everyone does get their two cents this way...

      @DocKC
OMG! I've just found my long lost twin.

      @DocNicole
Help! I need exactly the same diet that KC does.

P.S. In the poll I clicked "chronic fatigue" because I couldn't find "fibromyalgia" and, because "other" did not work for me when I clicked it.
    3. DocNicole
Ok...but can you girls please tell me what you WILL eat...because my standard weight gain diet that I use for football players and body builders is not going to work for miss pickypants above me

You have to like some things with fat in it...my gosh you just have to. Tell me the kinds of things that you like and I will walk you guys through it.

    I'm lovin it.
Just completed your poll. My top two picks have the highest percentage of those already polled.
    1. DocNicole
LOL...thanks dear! You are the greatest...I am excited to see what everyone is interested in.

I voted for PMS, but I'd really like to see PMDD covered. (I couldn't make the "other" selection work?)
    1. DocNicole
I know crap I couldn't get it to work either! I saw someone voted other and even went to poll daddy and couldn't find the submission. hmmm...

Well I specialize in women's health so would be delighted to write about PMDD as it is a very delicate topic for a lot of women that suffer from it, and using diet and herbs to modulate the hormonal cycle is extremely effective at the very least for just "taking the edge off".

      Thanks for the suggestion Anok.

I have an article coming out on PMS so don't think that it is what I am using for PMDD...
    2. Anok
No problem! I think it's very important too, to let people realize that as it stands right now, the medical community is still really unsure about PMDD, what it is, what causes it, and how to treat it.

When I was diagnosed the doctor tried to push all manner of drugs on me, and really, it's experimental. Natural remedies though, man do they work!
    3. DocNicole
It is all about balance...and frankly part of my PMS article addresses the fact that WHY should we have to feel "normal" as women right before our menses? Oh I wish we could go back to the days of the red huts...

    DocNicole,
"Ok...but can you girls please tell me what you WILL eat...because my standard weight gain diet that I use for football players and body builders is not going to work for miss pickypants above me.

    So here goes:
No legumes -- yes, you read that correctly. I can digest garbanzo beans aka chick peas and fresh peas but that's that. The rest give me stomach pains and gas. I hate all other legumes!
Vegetables, fruits and berries -- I will eat any other vegetable and most fruits. Note: I do not eat imported fruits of any kind. I eat only what's available locally and because I live in the gulf islands there is an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruits and berries available to me.
Nuts - I love them all!
Cereal Grains -- I love them all!
Pasta and rice -- love them!
Breads -- Meh ... I'm not strongly attracted to starchy foods.
No yogurt -- yes, you read that correctly. I hate it!
Dairy -- real 100% actual dairy products including butter -- I love them all.
I seem to be able to digest animal and vegetable fats without any problems at all.
I do eat meat or fish 3-4 times per week but I eat far smaller portions than other people do. I do not eat ANY factory farm meats -- ever. That includes the horrid farmed Atlantic salmon that they put dye into and pretend is "wild" Pacific salmon when served in restaurants.
Seafood --- I do not eat filter feeders -- no bivalves. I have access to locally caught cod, halibut, pacific salmon, shrimp, ... yada, yada.
Candy, cakes, cookies, chocolate --- Meh -- I eat a little.

I forgot to say that I take no drugs. I prefer naturopathic medicine, herbal treatments and alternative therapies to conventional medicine and treatments. I use medical doctors for diagnosis and monitioring only.

What a cool site you have. Love the header-image. Although, I don't have it myself, I chose CFS. It's a hot issue, and a bit complex. I had the privilege of working with several such clients when I moved back to the US. Info is definitely needed, as they sometimes feel confused by that which can be found out there.
    1. DocNicole
Thanks so much! I already have one article on CFS that you can read...

Let me know if you have any other questions and I will write about them!

      Thank you

I voted. Nice blog, very easy to read and interesting. It's good to hear someone speaking the truth that most health problems can be resolved by living with a little common sense.
    1. DocNicole
Thanks so much! I am working hard to teach common sense because there is so much hype out there...and with the pharmaceutical advertising on TV people are losing site of what the best way to deal with their health problems are.

My left testicle disappeared. I thought I had a hernia. The Doctors says it just went up north, looking for work. It thought it would have better luck as an ovary.
    1. DocNicole
Well testicles are just ovaries you know...
    2. ekim941
      Hence the joke
    3. DocNicole
I know I was just trying to avoid the fact that maybe you wanted me to do something more than just write about it...LOL
    4. ekim941
I used this joke on my construction worker friends and they thought I was serious. The looks on their faces, as they reached for their testes, was priceless.
    5. DocNicole
You are evil. I like it.

I had to vote for restless legs-I've had this problem for so long and when I take a B supplement for other issues, the restless legs gets way worse at night

I don't want to miss my B's but don't know what else to do... I'd love to read about it!
    1. DocNicole
Be sure you aren't anemic. I already have one article on it...let me know if you have any questions!
