I have two blogs that you can check the page rank on. One is at 5 (4 months old) and the other has slipped to 4 because I didn't post much this winter.
More to the point is that what anyone else's page rank is doesn't really matter. What does matter is knowing step-by-step in a logical manner how to increase your Google page rank and Technorati authority as well.
These two posts have helped a lot of bloggers and continue to do so every day so I hope they help you as well.

what does page rank really do?
My blog is about 1 month 2 weeks old. It gets about 300 visitors a day. 150 of them are from google search.-
I would say Page Rank is some kind of authority measurement.

PR is not a good measure of a website. I know plenty of websites with a greater PR than mine, but they receive 1/10th of the traffic my websites net.
PR measures the strength of the backlinks to your site. So if CNN.com links to your blog, then your PR will skyrocket. That is dandy, but if only 3 people visit your site a day who cares? -
Much worse, when there are no link buyers because they are too afraid to be penalized in Google as link buyers or sellers.
Content is still the KING!!! -
Link exchanges do nothing to change your PR because Google favors sites that get one way links. It makes sense because one-way links are seen as voluntary whereas link exchanges are a fixed agreement. Sites that participate in too many link exchanges also get penalized by the search engine. -

I have a PR 3, but all this has to do with is the amount of inbound reciprocal links you have on your site. Another level of relevancy. The more relevant the sites that link to your site the higher your PR. -

I love targeted traffic more than page rank. It earns money a lot without headaches. If you earn money by PAGE RANK (GOOGLE PR), then Google will be after you. Then hide yourself to avoid getting caught. LOL. And if get caught, Google will lose trust in your blog or domain and will stripped your PR forever, except you will do dramatic changes and decide to become a good boy.
Also if you are after page rank in a link exchange, then it means you have a poor content and a POOR WRITER (must be more proud of your PR than your writing). And if you look at a web page and judge based on it's PR, then you are a POOR READER.
I earn PR 3, 3 months after site release. And it does not make sense.-

If google page rank is not a reliable source of information about your blog rank what is.-
Google give PR based on relevant site links. But some may links for fun or their favourite site, so not nessacery all relevant.

Probably not. Googles sytem for indexing pages is pretty random. One of my blogs is N/A and it has over 400 links to it. My other blog is PR2 but has been around forever. I have a Squidoo lens that is PR5 - so go figure. It has less referals that I know of than the N/A blog.

You're not doing wrong. Just write interesting articles (good content) and promote for others to link back to your post. Hopefully you get a PR when Google update PR next round.

PageRank is useless... There are many pages with no traffic and high page rank. When you have keywords no one looks for, your PageRank is useless.
Mine PR is 3 after 4 months.
