I'm an IT Systems Administrator, at least that is my title. I think I am more of a baby sitter for people that use computers.

i was an "assistant professional specialist" which was a fancy way of saying a contract teacher for a university. (what? academics are physically incapable of using a single word when they can use 30 instead)
after that it was copy writer which was about the most boring job i could possibly imagine. so i wormed my way into graphic design.
now i'm just hoping to get a new graphic design job. seems they're just about as hard to get as full-time teaching gigs.
*sigh* why didn't i learn C++??? -

I am an artist and PT animal care attendant. I paint and make jewelry and most of my blog posts are about the work I do and the activities I do for fun too.

Professional geek of all trades. I'm part of a team of five guys who handle all the IT and server management needs for an international publishing company. While we have duties that overlap from programming to web design to hardware/software installation for end users, we all have specialties.
Mine are DNS, Mail (I <3 Postfix), Apache, Linux (server & desktop), and any escalated Windows issues. Because of my Linux background, I also end up taking care of the Macs i our production department. -

I was educated as a veterinarian; later in IT (hardware and networking); last several jobs were in management. In my very last employment I was a part of the executive team at a media and advertising startup. The company didn't do too well. Now I am just staying at home with my kids. And I have been modeling on a side all these years.

Television production. Used to be a game ranger on a South African game reserve though - I know, quite a change: from wildlife management to TV production...

I have had a couple professions. I was a manager for a toy distribution center, moved on to being a test technician working on high powered power supplies, and I was even a cocktail server in a casino in Atlantic City. Now I have been a bus driver for county transportation for almost 5 years. Wow I have been around-LOL!

Though the question looks simple, but I doubt is it possible to answer it in my case? People call me an artist, but some know I live on a disability pension and thus work nowhere.
If the profession is what we are used to do the most, I am a looker through the window, who like to drink coffee without sugar and have a talk with my visions. That takes a form of picture or some type of word art, but it becomes something only in case somebody asks, what's that? -

here I am again. I am to add some to my self presentation for you could have the complete picture. My social status note I am a person with the psychiatric disorders, or the total zero to all except my family and friends.
Sorry for bothering you.-
u r a great contributor, nvr bothering. Psychiatric or not, its just something different from the norm. Special, uniqueness or abnormal? They are just similar. As long as you contribute to the society, you are helping people, you are SOMEBODY to your kitten, your pets and your wife, you are Important in this world. Profession or no profession, you are still you. You are always your mother's greatest kid and the Father's precious child. Am I right, hope so. That is what i think. I may be wrong, cos i am younger than you and I eat lesser salt than you.

Unemployed/slacker at the moment. I was a student up until fairly recently, but then the whole graduation thing put a damper on that. Now I'm looking for a good grad school so I can go back to being a student for another year or two. And also trying to find publishing for my first novel this year. So aspiring novelist. Not a clue what I'm going to end up doing day-job-wise yet.

I'm a director for an educational company, a business owner of 2 companies, and founder/President of a nonprofit. Yes, my hands are full but I am in my element!

Profession? I'll take that as meaning 'an occupation or set of tasks I dedicate myself into, rather than merely perform. For me that would include:
- Husband
- Father
- Writer

I am a telecommunications manager and consultant for businesses. I help businesses manage and grow through the use of business communications and see where we can make processes more efficient and easier. I deal with voice, data, internet, wireless, hosting services, servers, disaster recovery, network infrastructure, phone systems/equipment. It's pretty intense how much I work with and makes me a weapon in the field.
