What is Your Top Ways To Get Visitors?

So many ways to generate traffic to your website. I want to get as many different ways as you know. And what works best for you?
I´m driving a blog with the topic "How To Generate Traffic To Your Blog and Be Successful"

BTW i wanted to comment on 1 post about slippers and couldn't, tried a alot.some code problem?

Do you mean the post, It's All About the Slippers? It's not an ad, but a humorous (I hope) piece about how we get attached to certain items.I am addicted to those slippers, and can't get another pair.
Are you using Safari? Someone else had the problem about commenting on my blog, and I'm trying to get it fixed, so please let me know.
Meanwhile, please keep reading. The blog is new, and I am trying to generate traffic.

I send out an email to fiends once in awhile with a link that I hope they might find interesting. So far, nobody has complained about what some might call spam. I don't think you can do it too often because they will just ignore it.
Also put the blog in the 'signature block' of your emails. -
telling you "goodnight, nice to meet you, come and visit my blog, if you don't like don't tell me" (I think I am enough smart to realize by myself that you don't like ).

Commenting on other blogs is IMHO hands down the very best way to increase traffic but it's not the only way.

I'm a casino promotions page tho.
And I use Traffic Exchanges and hope for the best with all my visitors.

Content =P Especially timeless instructional type of guides.
I've done the social network sites etc etc, but they bring in some traffic, but now adays I don't promote it via that method nowadays at all. (granted some stumbles from back about a year ago still bring in quite a bit of traffic daily). Mind you my niche is gaming/making money online.
Yet the traffic to my blog remains constant via google, and forums that point to some of the guides i've written. -
