Blog header is part of a blog design, how many of you can tweak your own blog header.

What kind of style do you prefer?
Do prefer dark, light, colourful, abstract, or artistic header?

I have listed some of the websites I like in my post.

Cause I'm totally trying to learn some stuff on PSP9.. If you have the resources - I'd love to USE them.

I've been trying to make CARDS - out of PSP - and can't figure out how to find a template on them.

So shout me your blog addy OK?

      I prefer Minimalistic header,
a simple image which put more weight on Font and a simple contrast image can do it...

If your site is about Photoshop Tutorial, there should be a lot of resources in creating website/blog header...

Depends on the blog. I've seen very well done headers that have a lot of artistic value - color, designs, mosaics, collages etc - and they work with the blog, the content, the whole nine.

Wheras I've seen very simple headers that are awesome as well - because it works.

I keep mine simple. Very simple. My blog is simple. I agonized over adding the red triangle in the corner for a little pop. It took me months to decide to make the change, because I really prefer simple and clean on my blog. But that's me, and I think something flashy would look out of place.

But on say - Claire's or Jafa's blog, the colors, the design, they're beautiful, and they represent the blogger and the content of the blog perfectly.

Claire's IS one of my favorites. It sums up her blog and interests just right.

Yeah, I love it, too, it was the first header that popped into my head when I opened this thread

It's the ankle with the ivy - it gets me everytime.

Those are excellent headers you've chosen - most of them are BLOG LOGO type headers - and I can actually understand that.

My header tries to give the sense of my "business" blog (a GAMBLING affiliate type blog)...

So I'm really into headers and the such.

So these are an excellent set of them!

I've recently changed my blog header and I kind of like it better now.
    I like fresh headers.

Personally, the design of the blog is irrelevant to me. It's the content I'm drawn to. I go right for the pictures and the words.

Some awesome stuff! I like numbers 4 and 9. And to answer your question, nope,.. I don't do 'tweaking',... I leave that for the people who can do it.

You can 'tweak' one for me,... I won't charge you anything! Hahahaha!

Oh, and colorful does it for me.

      LOL,
sure... just wait till I learn how to use Illustrator,
so far I usually depend more on font and make variation from it...

I like several of the headers on the themes you linked to but I prefer to make my own. I change my headers quite frequently, especially on my personal blog. I have a theme (Vigilance "child theme*) that provides for some customization and I enjoy changing the borders and background colors to match the headers I create. I usually make headers that reflect the themes in my most current posts on that blog. I get tired of the one I'm using about every month or so. What's more is that I really enjoy making them.

I have relevant blog posts that will be helpful to those who are intending to change their blog headers. The first two contain links to multiple sources of hundreds of free headers, several free headers in the post itself, links to many sources of free images, and links to free software for optimizing and re-sizing images.

Blog header designs are all over the place for me. It really depends on the market I'm focused on. Market meaning my target audience.

Whatever the market, I like my designs to be clean and provide the right ambiance.

If any of you blogcatalog folks need some help with a design, just mention being a member here and I'll see what I can do.

I just designed/created my own blog header. I also use it as a logo on business cards to promote the blog when I speak at events, network, etc...

I always have ideas for improvement but for now I like it!
