What Kind Of Music Do You Like?

My favourite kind of music is rock & heavy metal, but I like to listen nearly all kinds of music like pop, blues, rap, hip-hop and some classical too (especially Beethoven and Mozart). But, what about you? Come on, share with us your music preferences.

I have a soft spot for rock & heavy metal, and shy away from jazz and most of the blah Top40 of today. But I can tolerate pretty much anything in between. I love a good thumping beat, guitar riffs, great lyrics, songs I can sing along to in the car while stuck in a traffic jam (and yes, oftentimes I've ended up being the source of amusement of other drivers LoL!).
A sample of ten music-related likes:
G'n'R [up to Illusions 1 & 2]; Placebo; Metallica [okay okay I only really knew them b/c of their black album...]; Linkin Park; The Sound of Music soundtrack; Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Once More, With Feeling" soundtrack; Eminem; The Beatles; Meat Loaf; Sam Cooke.
How's that for variety? ;-) -
Rock, Heavy Metal, classical, I was raised on a little of everything,with the exception of Rap. I prefer Rock. -

I embrace all kinds, but I like listening to alternative, indie stuff a lot. A little pop rock doesn't hurt either. -
Breakcore, dubstep, ragga jungle, some drum&bass, experimental electronic music and when I'm in the right mood, ragga.-
I used to be a d&b kid... listen to it still now and then but find it's too hard for my taste now.. I like trip hop better now -
Lol that is funny. I used to be a d&b kid too, but now I find most d&b to be incredible boring.
Some nice jungle coming out of USA and Canada that sounds more old school.
Oh yeah. Now you know why I use the nick jungl. -
I used to listen to terje rypdal about 30 years ago...i know he's a jazz musician ( well...they threw all ECM into that category) ...did people in Norway like him

Mostly indie pop/rock these days, but generally: alternative, classic rock, a little hippity hoppity here and there, a little electronica here and there, some occasional jazz, classical, hard rock, etc.
Current faves are bands like Arcade Fire, Interpol, Thievery Corporation and such. -

Groove Salad from SOMA FM.. is awesome. That's what I listen to now but I have an eclectic taste. anything from classical. (Love Chopin) to down tempo Trip Hop...
www.somafm.com is awesome.. its a listener supported radio station..you can get live streaming. It's free unless you want to donate couple of dollars. I did simply cause I listen to them ALL THE TIME! They have many different channels.
Oh, I am not getting paid for this plugin.. just love them-
SomaFM is so cool! My fave channel is cliqhop IDM.
Might I be so shameless and suggest that you visit my music blog. You should check out dubstep (if you haven't already). It's a mellow form of electronic music heavily focused on subbases.

I've always loved music, as evidenced by a home movie of a 3-yr-old me dancing up a storm to Boots Randolph's 'Yackety Sax' ("don't talk back", remember that one?) with nothing on but a giant straw hat. Anway, I love all kinds of music, from The Gypsy Kings to Tina Turner to the Welsh witch, Stevie Nicks. Recently discovered Amy Winehouse - fantastic.

I love all kinds of music mostly heavy metal..the heavier the better! i also like some rock, oldies, 80's hair metal, eminem, new age...the only music i cant stand is country, lol! -
