Post your blogs and state what made you choose your blog titles?-

iriejamaica.blogspot.com/-This blog is called, "A Fe Me Page Dis Iyah." I choose this title because translated it means, "This is my page."

ineedstimulation.blogspot.com/-This blogs title is "mental Stimulation." I just think so many different things cause us to write and stimulate our mind.

postaljokes.blogspot.com/-The title of the blog is the same. It really is self explanatory.

The blog is noodle-house.blogspot.com so named because 'Noodle' is my favorite term when referring to my brain and that my makes my head the Noodle House.

The blog title is 'Arbitrary Servings from the Noodle Joint upstairs' which translates to 'Random thoughts from my Brain'
    1. iriegal
sbpoet. That is a cool concept. I love the cryptic meaning. It also made me HUNGRY, cause I love to eat noodles.
  2. sbpoet
I've actually done a post about this (for Watermark)

You have to go to the post to see the gif [www.sbpoet.com/2006/11/made_for_waterm.html]

    but here's the text:

This is just what I pictured, when I named this blog: the ephemeral nature of poetry, of writing -- of everything, actually. We work, and write, and post -- and no matter how long it lasts, that lasting is brief. We catch a moment, and it's gone in a moment.

I didn't check the dictionary defintions before choosing, but it works even better than I had imagined:

    1. a mark which is made on some types of paper during its production which can only be seen if it is held against the light;
    2. a mark showing the highest or lowest level that a river or the sea reaches
    1. iriegal
A very interesting watermark. At first I thought it was just a snail, but I understand the concept of the idea of a "watermark."
  3. antibarbie
I named antibarbie.net with the title AntiBarbie.net - Madness, Monsters and Motherhood because I'm known as the antibarbie on several writing groups and it sort of describes my personality as well. The madness, monsters, and motherhood part comes from the fame that I have a little bit of everything in my life up on the blog from my personal experiences with things that drive me insane, to my horror stories, and kids.
    1. iriegal
      Antibarbie...wow what a unique title.
  4. infonistacrat
I made up the word infonistacrat. It sounded kinda neat, so I used it. I already had hometownproject.org for another failed project, so I started infonistacrat.hometownproject.org - The Music Blog Of The Infonistacrat. I also have infonistacrat.com registered, and someday, will move my blog over there, so it makes more sense.

My official personal blog Star Log, got it's title idea from Star Trek, when every day Capt Kirk starts out with "Capt's Log star date...". I write science fiction, I'm a big fan od Star Trek, so it was only logical that I name my blog Star Log. www.eelkat.blogspot.com

My official NaNoWriMo 2007 writing blog, is a spin off of Star Log, where I only talk about writing, thus it is Star Log the NaNoWriMo edition. eknano.blogspot.com

  15. Wawaron
    Wawaronnie = Wawarons' nation

    Wawaron = kind of frog

    :o))
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Ah! Good to know! Wawaron wasn't one of the animals we'd learned in French class. Our focus seemed to be more on "le mouton" and "le poisson" for some reason.
    2. MadameX
Oh, man, you bring back memories...I can still hear that little cassette-recorder voice saying, "N'oublie pas guignol!"
  16. MadameX
I think that all of my blog titles are self-explanatory except for RockStories, which is my writing blog. When I started that blog in 2004, I was doing primarily music writing and I had a website called RockStories that the blog was loosely attached to. Today, the title is totally irrelevant to anything that's posted there, but after 3.5 years I don't want to change it.
  17. stevenwilson
my blog title is Steven Wilson Marketing because it is the name of one of my business's.
    stevenwilsonmarketing.blogspot.com
  18. Wawaron
Why poisson or mouton, ThriftShopRomantic ? or why other animals ? for us you are humans from US... not animals

I do not take this name of wawaron to talk of my country, just for fun
  19. suburbqueen
"Suburbian Queen" because I live in suburbia and I am the queen of my castle That and I just liked the way it sounded...

  20. clioandme
I wanted to match a suitable name with available URLs at Blogger while not duplicating a name already out there. Took a lot of entries on Blogger and Google before I got my simple names: On My Mac, History Survey, and History Survey Links.

Later I started another blog where I was less sure about the name. Hence I went for a Blogger URL that matched my own name, and i Googled over and over again until I found a name I could live with for the time being: Clio and Me.
  21. ThriftShopRomantic
I chose the title because I wanted a name that showed what the blog was about-- inexpensive shopping and decorating, using romantic/vintage style.

I also liked the contrast between the friendly and down-to-earth sense of thrift shopping, and the idea of something still being elegant and looking expensive.
  22. exinco
    webringnet.com
stand for "We Bring the interNet" or Web-Ring-Network. i'm luckily to get this domain ad one of my favorite name already taken.
  23. aningeniousname
I chose News direct because I started out wanting to spoof the corporate media, but the site has since evolved from that straight parody into something altogether more surreal. newsdirect-aningeniousname.blogspot.com/

I decided to call my photo blog Pleb's eye view because basically that's what it is, I wanted to show everyday things through my eyes. plebseyeview.blogspot.com/

My third Blog is called Dr Bamboo's world famous advice column, it's a spoof medical and sexual advice column. I think the name is self explanatory.
    drbamboos.blogspot.com/

My blog is Six Hours Past Thursday, the title of my novel which concerns the shenanigans of a con man. All the stuff on my blog, on the other hand, has to do with the workings of actual, present-day con artists.

Turns out my title does not clearly depict the subject matter of my blog.

    Big mistake.

mixture.blgosome.com/ This blog title is "Mixture of Shirtless Hunks" I came up with this title because not only ladies are needing guys also gays..Gays now a days are growing in every community.
  32. Greekgeek
I was trying to think of something really obvious to show what I was doing, and thought it would be too crass to name it "Joseph Campbell Meets Web 2.0" lest one of my classmates say, "Greekgeek, I knew Joe Campbell. You're no Joe Campbell."

Luckily for me, "Mythology Blog" was already taken by some random SEO marketing thingie, so I had to stop and ponder instead of taking the keyword-obvious title. Then it hit me. I love puns. I make mistakes to the point that I used to give my Latin students a +1 extra credit on tests if they could spot and correct the mistake that (inevitably) was there somewhere. I'm the archetypo queen.

    So this seemed perfect: www.mythprint.com

I thought about it long and hard. My first thoughts were horrible sounding "winninghorsebet" type creations. I realized they didn't speak about what I was really trying to do, which honestly has little to do with betting, apart from sharing the thrill and excitement of winning from time to time.

What I was really after was to try and share the game itself (the horses, the jockeys, the big races, the beautiful race tracks, etc.) with folks that probably hadn't ever noticed it before. I wanted to help make people more aware of some of the more courageous competitors out there. I've grown up with sports heroes as roll models for most of my life, as ridiculous as I know that sounds. It dawned on me a few years back that certain race horses were some of the most amazing animals to have graced this planet with their presence. I had to share that. I had to help people notice it.

I'm usually better at explaining things by relating to my own experiences, so my blog became "the aspiring horseplayer."

I like to play the horses and follow the game, and I shall always be aspiring to do better, that much is certain.

Coincidentally, I'm very fond of my subheading "the odyssey of a horse racing enthusiast and amateur handicapper."

That's just so me. I can't even describe it.

"After Dinner Mint" has a lot of slang meanings and I meant for my blog title to mean every single one of them. It was kinda an inside joke for anyone that knew, haha.
    thefly4176.blogspot.com/

"Placebo Effect" is for my creative writing site and I named it that because I feel writing has that same effect on people. It doesnt really do anything to you physically but your mind makes it do something. Just like a placebo, a sugar pill that you think is going to help you but in reality you are helping yourself. Thats what I feel my writing does for people.

My humor blog, "Of Cabbages and Kings," is part of a line from Lewis Carroll's poem The Walrus and the Carpenter:

'The time has come,' the Walrus said
    'To talk of many things:
    Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
    Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
    And whether pigs have wings.'

I write humorous tales that range widely in subject matter from day to day, though all of them have to do with the funny things life tosses at you.

So I thought the title was appropriate.

    spiralreverie.blogspot.com/

Spiral Reverie. Doesn't really have any official meaning that I've come across, but it's a term I like to use for a sort of dreamlike state people sink into as their lives spiral into unpleasant situations. An escape.

Sometimes films have had moments that would sort of fit the idea, anyway, like when you see a several second montage of people connected to a character as something or someone dramatically ends their life, or their looking back on their own life as they attempt to end their own. (There's a good example of this in The Royal Tenenbaums.)

It's an interesting idea and device to me anyway. And as a writer, I thought it'd make an interesting, original blog title. (Plus, they're two of my favorite words, anyway, haha.)
