Zombie strippers - Its what you'd expect from a b-grade movie overall.
Effects were above acceptable but acting ( what else to you expect from porn stars though ) was pretty poor, even from robert englund. And as the title goes it's not that appealing to watch rotting women get their kit off. Zombies are good, strippers are good - but together they're not that appealing. Its like mixing jagermeister with baileys, you end up with a curdled mess.
Worth seeing once but its not worth a re-watch. 4.5/10 -
We just got back from seeing the movie Knowing. We liked it a lot. And would recomend others to see it.

I saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with my daughter. The guys who made the James bond flicks made Chitty. Some of the Actors from the Bond films where in it. If you like family fun movies It is a good one.

I saw Knowing by Nicholas Cage. Value for money and the effects are good. Reminds me of rapture. I just wondered why his dad was not raptured?

Its a local movie for me, You Changed My Life... a romantic comedy. I liked it very much, made me laugh a number of times.

BEST ones I've seen in the week!!
1. Slumdog Millionaire - brutal, but great, terrific music too
2. Good Bye, Lenin! - terrific heartwarming German comedy
3. Ballad of a Soldier - 59 bw Russian anti-war film, very pleasant surprise, about a road trip home to the Ukraine, beautiful stuff
4. The Emperor and the Assassin - another giant Chinese costume epic
5. Ashes of Time Redux - Wong Kar Wai's recutting of his 94 samurai film, still hallucinatory but more poetic and cohesive (Chinese also)
I watch a lot more foreign films now cuz I missed them growing up, and most new US movies are ridiculous, either moronic comedies or slash em all up gore fests that take very little imagination; I also keep watching Inspector Morse, only 10 to go out of 31 (all 2 hr films)

I recently saw Milk, which was so great! I saw it in San Francisco, which made it even better because the audience was so riveted and applauded wildly at the end.
I also rented a movie this past weekend called 'The Visitor' and that was so good, also.
I'm going to be doing some movie watching this weekend too--because my hubby is out of town.-
I saw Milk too but I thought it was awful and very unrealistic I doubt very much that gay men have more to do with milk production than cows but there wasn't even one cow in the whole film. Yet mysteriously San Francisco was full to the brim with heavily moustachioed gay men acclaiming milk and we all know San Francisco is one of most heterosexual citys in not just America but also the world.
I was very disappointed.

I think Knowing is okay, but I don't really like last scene... I think it'll be much better if it stop at the end of the earth...
I think Milk is alright. I mean the acting, the drama and conflict. It all neatly arranged.
Monster vs Alien, LOVEEE it! -
Tyson
Amazing documentary about Mike Tyson, he's not as crazy as you think.
Die Welle (The Wave)
From IMDB: A high school teacher's unusual experiment to demonstrate to his students what life is like under a dictatorship spins horribly out of control when he forms a social unit with a life of its own.
In other words, absolute awesomeness. -

Seven Pounds : Will Smith (drama, worth watching), Death Race : Jason Statham (video game sort of action movie, I guess Statham's name said it all )

Hi,
I just went to your post to give my favorite movies and decided not to comment there. So here are my favorite movies ever:
1. Breakfast at Tiffany's - not one list had that, but I have loved it for over 50 years. It's one movie you can watch over and over and not get tired of it.
Love Audrey Hepburn.
2. Rebecca - practically flawless and also have loved for the same amount of time. Joan Crawford and Olivier are magnificent.
3. Sleepless in Seattle - Also can be watched over and over again and have loved it since it came out.
4. Citizen Kane - Still a great well done movie. Beautiful photography and look at the underbelly of power.
5. It Happened One Night - Clark Gable and Claudet Colbert have so much chemistry.
6. Zorba the Greek - It has so much joy!
7. All About Eve - Bette Davis is flawless in this and everyone is perfect in it too. Also can be seen over and over again.
8. The Graduate
9. Gone with the Wind - Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh have great chemistry too.
10. The Best Years of Their Lives - sad and gritty and a good anti-war movie for its time.
Star Wars - It started a whole fandom and has continued through today. So it's a tie for #10.:)
