I recently put up a post comparing the services offered by three major service providers who will pay you for your old electronics:

ninetynineways.net/2009/07/sell-andor-recycle-your-old-electronics-a-compar...

One of them got back to me via twitter and suggested I do another matrix but this time comparing prices (they are pretty certain they will win).

One thing I need though is a whole bunch of electronics to compare.

What I need from you guys is old electronics you would get rid of - Make an model would be most appreciated.

So no-one has anything? Not even an old cellphone, ipod, digital camera, game console and so on?

If I don't have a use for it anymore I am known for giving it away or donating it. Sometimes I hold onto the broken things to fix first just because I get into fixing electronics I don't sell much of anything that I don't use anymore. Somebody less fortunate then me can use it I am sure.

      thanks! that is fair enough.

LOL! We have about 5 old laptops, a couple of unused desk tops, several defunct palm pilots, cell phones dating back to the mid-90's. And I won't even get into all the audio equipment we have stashed in our basement (my husband is in the audio business).

I'd love to get rid of all of them but my husband has a deep aversion for throwing *anything* out!

My husband is the same way. Both our attic and garage are full of stuff he may use one day.

Exactly! In fact, I think my husband liked this house because of all the space for his old junk! Drives me nuts--I am ruthless as far as getting rid of clutter (I HATE clutter). His mother was the same way. She died in 2005 (RIP, Gladys ♥) and now we have her old junk too!

I have an old Atari game with the controllers and games and everything...I'd sell that in like 20 years when it's considered a antique or something.

I could never sell my Atari. I love my Frogger too much.

      I don't have Frogger..

I do have the Grand Prix, Space Invaders, Pong and Pac Man
    3. MissSuzie
Pong and PacMan are my faves too. I'm surprised the thing still works.

I know, me too. I love the sound effects.."Pue-Om" has so many meanings..

lotus, it's considered vintage now. And if it's in great shape with booklets it's also highly collectable if you find the right people.

WE have one too, frogger, Asteroids, Centipede, and Paperboy. We have a few other games too but no one plays them as much.

WE like our NES and Sega Genesis to.

Yeah, I have an electronic pencil sharpener I'd like to get rid of. It only chews up the plastic on my pencils. Who the heck is the genius who invented pencil sharpeners anyways? Don't they know all pencils are made out of plastic?

I end up donating old electronics like cell phones. My last two TV's (a 13" and a 27" from my old apartment)ended up in my mom's garage and eventually were donated.

ebay is great for cellphones - get a free upgrade and sell the old one.
wish i could do it more often.
