   The idea that someone must have "something to live for" or their life isn't worth living is ludicrous.
   
   Do you think primitive peoples worry about such esoteric nonsense? They live because they have life and they need nothing else.
   
   What do I have to live for? Nothing. And the idea that my own life is without value unless I have something outside myself to give it meaning is just downright insulting. I live because I am alive, because my own life has its own meaning, not because someone or something outside that fact gives meaning to it.
