   I'm a single father and have a teenage daughter who lives with me. I have noticed that it is often more difficult to date a woman who does not have children because it's hard for her to understand the relationship between father and child. But this is also true for some single mothers as well.
   
   Typically, I look for a woman who is compassionate, caring and sensitive to the special needs of a child. I don't look for a woman to take on the role of mother. My daughter has a mother and I am a very capable parent.
   
   Red flags that I look for are women who try to push themselves on my daughter or try to come between her and either parent. Many women like to talk badly about their new mans ex wife. However, that is my daughters mother and that won't be well received.
