      Yeah I joined recently, I haven't had that much success over there yet, but then I spend more time over here, so that's probably why ;-)

    Fuelmyblog gave me steady traffic over time. I had "never" participated in that forum or voting activities whatsoever. You just reminded me that I should pay it a visit ...

    The overall design of my blogs, in addition to the content, draws my readers.

    Soul, you seem to already have the most important accessory (content) working to your advantage. Your posts are long and informative.

    One thing your blog is missing in terms of super-important accessories is social media buttons. BC can generate these for you, I see you have used the discussion widget also this is good.

    The socmedia buttons are important for generating traffic, you don't need accounts with these social networks(example: you don't need a digg account to have a digg button on your page)

    BC asks you for your username when you try to make the social media buttons, this will turn you off since you don't want to sign up for 50 social networks (not now anyway) So I suggest using something called AddThis(Google "Addthis button") This button is easily placed in your site with a few lines of javascript and lets visitors submit the link to social networks.

    Yeah, so other than that you are doing great. You're probably wondering why you don't have any pagerank - that's because your blog is fairly new and google hasn't stumbled across it yet, it doesn't mean your doing something wrong

    I have never heard of anyone calling a social network bookmarking button or widget such as those from BC, mybloglog or fuel my blog etc. an accessory ... lol

    My rule of thumb for adding any widget, button, etc. to my sidebar or to my blog posts is that it must provide "reader value" or I don't use it. I feel that colorful decorative "tat" (useless crap) is distracting and installing tat will accomplish four things that I don't want to happen.
    (1) Destroy the design of my blog;
    (2) Increase page loading time;
    (3) Distract readers away from reading my content;
    (4) Provide a means of drawing readers off my blog to other sites ie. a link.

    The social bookmarking buttons I place at the end of my posts offer reader value in that they can be used by readers to instantly bookmark my posts.

    The Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Popular Posts, Categories and Archives widgets in my sidebar provide reader access to all of my posts.

    You can't go wrong with a nice handbag.
