      cooking, you poor poor soul. A good massage is a joy to behold. Better than hot Belgian chocolate on a cold winter's day. Better than a glass of champagne in a hot tub.
      
      My favourite massage is Neck, Shoulders and Upper Back, using aroma therapy.

   A friend of mine was a Thai massage instructor from Thailand, she gave me a couple of massages. Holy crap was it painful, but I felt like a brand new person afterwards.

   Almost any massage feels good, professional or otherwise. I've gone to many massage workshops and used to belong to a massage group. It becomes addictive and you find yourself rubbing people's backs, necks and shoulders all the time. Foot massages are great but my favorite is a head massage. My wife and I have this ritual we do practically every night. I massage her feet while she runs her fingers through my hair. Sheer ecstasy, and so relaxing!

    Deep tissue is generally not enjoyable, involving lots of intense pressure, but it can do wonders...

    If you have never had a professional massage you owe it to yourself to get one. They are fantastic. As for me, I do not like the deep tissue massages as much as a more relaxing swedish massage. I also love to have my scalp massaged. Sometimes what I will do is ask for a 90 minute massage.. 60 minute sweddish massage and 30 minute scalp.

       Whether it's good or not depends on where you get it. I've had "professional" massages that were complete rip-offs. The person massaging didn't seem to know what she was doing and just spent 45 minutes poking me. I didn't feel any better at all afterwards.
       
       But if you find a good place with skilled masseurs/masseuses it's definitely worth every penny!
