      Heh. I've found that's usually the case. I usually bake them for parties and gifts. Ordinarily, I mostly just bake bread.

    Oh, my. I love banana bread.

    I think the last thing I made was oatmeal raisin pecan cookies.

    And for my son's birthday, we had a 'festival of pie' with rhubarb, banana cream, chocolate pudding pie, and cherry pie. Yum!

    This was the last thing I baked

    The next thing I bake will be a Wall-E cake and an upright train cake. I have no clue what I'm doing for my little girl's next birthday yet maybe Tinkerbell.

    Oops! kinda big!

      My daughter's birthday. She was so impatient it was cute. My job is to make the birthday fun. Once you hit 30 realization hits and you know you're getting old and birthdays become yeah, whatever.

      How I made it is here: mythoughtsalways.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-thoughts-always-i-am-cake-of.html

      It will also show you a few other cakes I've done. I think I only really bake for birthdays and she was my last birthday. About to get hit with a bunch of birthdays real soon though.

    I baked some quickie peanut butter cookies last night. Yum! All it takes is a cup of peanut butter, 1/2 a cup brown sugar, 1/2 white and an egg. 8 minutes in the oven @ 350 and voila!

    =D Good times.

      Crescent Rolls
      Ingredients
      * 2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
      * 3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F or 45 degrees C)
      * 1/2 cup white sugar
      * 1 teaspoon salt
      * 3 free range eggs
      * 1/2 cup shortening
      * 4 cups all-purpose flour
      * 1/4 cup butter, softened
      Instructions
      (1) Dissolve yeast in a small bowl of warm water.
      (2) Stir in the sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, and 2 cups of flour and then beat until smooth. Add in remaining flour and then beat until smooth.
      (3) Scrape dough from side of bowl, knead it, cover it and let rise in a warm place until double (about 90 minutes).
      (4) Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Roll each half into a 12-inch circle and spread them with butter.
      (5) Cut each circle into 10 05 12 wedges and then roll up the wedges starting from the wide end to the pointed end.
      (6) Place the rolls with point side on the bottom on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until double (about 1 hour).
      (7) Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 12-15 minute or until golden brown. Brush tops with butter when they come out.
