What would you do on a deserted island stranded.?

If I could find food I would enjoy it so much. I like the idea of just getting away for some time.

I'd probably try to figure out how to build a boat to get back home to my comfortable bed!

      @Mtyler77- oh and don't forget "Wilson" gotta have a Wilson...lol..(Tom Hanks-Castaway)
    2. melindaville
That's right! I recently saw that movie! Four years--can you imagine?
    3. armywife65
@mtyler77--lol..oh I know, but just think of the nice skin we would have without make up, etc... We'd eat healthy, no Micky D's, No Sonic, etc. just good wholesome food....well if we can catch it, reach for it, cook it...lol. No racism, no stupid drivers, no foreclosures, and NO RULES!..woo hoo!
HEY! anybody know where I can find that island? All I need is my husband and few pair of panties and I'm ready to go.

Brush up on my dog paddle...
  3. gtally
Weirdly enough, I'd watch endless reruns of "Gilligan's Island" on my TV made from coconuts.

Pretty much the same thing I am doing right now! Living like a Pirate...

    1. melindaville
That looks like a lot of fun! I'm jealous! I always wanted to be a pirate. In fact, I played Pirate Jenny once!
    2. educatedvagabond
Woo for pirates! My friend MirMir is actually a sea cook on a tall ship, I'm very jealous of her life as a pirate. For now, I only sail the asphalt highways.

    1. Go for a lovely swim.
    2. Make a hammock.
    3. Take a nap.
    4. Repeat as necessary.
    1. Shuttercraft
      That sounds good!
  6. fruitcake
    Die of boredom I'm sure.
    1. Shuttercraft
The monkeys will keep you company!
    2. Friday13
Dammit, fruitcake. I was gonna say that!
    3. fruitcake
      Sorry Friday13...be quicker next time!
    4. Friday13
      No! You be slower!
    5. fruitcake
      I'll try...maybe.
    6. gtally
fruitcake: just no cappuccino, OK? It makes you bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy fun fun fun fun!
    7. fruitcake
gtally: I promise...no cappuccino (I wouldn't put you guys through that).
  7. Shuttercraft
    fruitcake, do you like fruitcake?
    1. fruitcake
No! Not even a little...but I do like the word and I can only imagine what it feels like for you guys to address someone as fruitcake...it's just funny to me.
    2. Friday13
It sort of nullifies anyone's attempt at being all serious towards you, though

Like No! You don't understand what's going on, fruitcake!
    3. Shuttercraft
fruitcake, I love the energy you have!
    4. gtally
I simply picture FC as fruit-filled and studded with nuts. It makes me very serious, just thinking about it...
    5. fruitcake
Exactly Friday13...the less seriousness the better

And thank you Shuttercraft...means a lot to me!

Nice topic. I think I would be like you if I can figure out how to get food I would just unwind for a while and hope someone comes and rescues me eventually. Hopefully I am not alone and have some company though.
  9. armywife65
I would enjoy the quiet from humans and run around naked.
  10. Stillthinking
I would like to say that I would hang out and chill, but honestly, I would probably freak out for about the first two months or so, then get eaten by sharks.
    1. Shuttercraft
I would eat the sharks! Grrrr
  11. Kastina
build the cutest flippin' hut you've ever seen.
    1. Shuttercraft
I bet you would find the parts for it on discount to!

(lol inside joke about her blog)
  12. LynneaUrania
    I would give thanks.
I would survey the island for water and food sources.
I would find or build shelter.
I would install a temple for meditation.
    I would give thanks.
    1. Shuttercraft
You could use the temple for shelter!
    2. LynneaUrania
A temple is sacred space which one prefers to keep separate from shelter. While a place of repose is a mini-temple in itself, it doesn't replace a dedicated space for the rites of dreaming.
  13. educatedvagabond
I'd explore the island. And train a monkey to be my companion - the Gabrielle to my Xena.
  14. footiam
    Can I blog?
    1. armywife65
@footiam--sure you can blog....in the sand, but I don't think you'd have very good internet connection..lol
  15. jackpayne
A thing not worth doing is not worth doing well. So, you may as well get yourself marooned and forget the whole scene.
  16. MadMadMargo
Finally live the simple, peaceful life I've always wanted.
    1. armywife65
@MadMadMargo-- Here! Here! I agree. away from all the crap in the world.
  17. Shuttercraft
I would bring three things if I could!

    1.) A smart willing companion
    2.) A Camera.
3.) A hand-held, heavy duty battery driven LEO satellite phone with GPS that I knew to work in the area stored in a hermetically sealed container with the batteries charged but removed( in case the smart willing companion started driving me bonkers!
  18. metalslugx
    nice topic haha

probly i'll just walk around and maybe find something to build up a house and set down there. sounds so like a movie haha

if theres wild animals there then i'll probably just kill myself first =P
  19. kroegergirl
On a deserted Island I would problably have a panic attack and die...thinking about a shark coming ashore and eating me or an alligator swallowing me whole...or an anaconda squeezing me to death...sorry I watch too many scary movies
    1. metalslugx
      HAHAHA~~~~all so negative lol
  20. captainobvious22
I wouldn't go anywhere without my Ipod - so surely I'd have that with me -- so just lay back, catch some rays and listen to some sweet, sweet music...
  21. JamCan
Well I'd hopefully be stranded with a hot Jamaican dude so I'm sure we could think of plenty to keep us busy LOLOL
    1. scottmillerd
      keyword: "Deserted"
    2. educatedvagabond
"Deserted," eh? But there will be monkeys right? Please say there will be monkeys!
    3. scottmillerd
"The term desert island, or deserted island, refers to an island which is uninhabited or sparsely inhabited. Such islands are commonly invoked in metaphor, literature, and the popular imagination, as a place where individuals or small groups of people find themselves marooned or castaway, cut off from civilization."

sparsely inhabited...so you can have your monkeys.
  22. jyotishman
    I'll Sleep; Sleep to Death!

For, on someplace atleast I would be free to do that without anyone bashing! LOL
