No matter how much the tickets would have been would have been ready to buy.

    Uh ... nothing?

Are you kidding? I live in British Columbia and we taxpayers are the sponsors of the next Olympics in 2010. It will take us about 30 years to pay off the debts for the extravaganza. The ticket prices are far beyond my reach and far beyond the reach of the average citizen here. Check them out, but do take a deep breath or two before you do.

I feel your anger especially when you have to pay for something that you do not get to be a part of. checked the prices that is expensive. thanks for sharing.

I didn't look at every event, but the ones that I did are priced comparably to what I'm accustomed to paying for sporting events or concerts in the Chicago area.

I live about an hour outside of Chicago and I am very pleased not to have to contend with the whole thing.

I was very much involved when the Olympic Games were here (1956 and 2000) but why did you single out Chicago, Moth?

I am so glad Brasil was successful in their bid. Hopefully every second Games will be in the southern hemisphere or Africa. Europe and North America have had more than their share.

Hopefully plenty of cheap tickets will be set aside for the locals, during the Brasil Games. Let wealthy visitors pay expensive prices.
